I will agree with typo56, but also let's wait and see how the Final results pan out.

Will shareholders rejoice if the deal is off?

Possibly more important is will the lenders rejoice?

When the lenders agreed an amendment to the Amended Credit Facility Agreement with the company back in November (expanding the group's leverage and interest covenants), it was presumably on the understanding the sale would go through and this would result in a £34.4m reduction in debt.

The next RNS is somewhat binary!

Watching with bated breath to see how the market responds to the next RNS. Will shareholders rejoice if the deal is off?

I guess right now the market is just unhappy with the uncertainty.

Considering the low volume it certainly sounds like your fellow holders either agree with you or believe the deal will go through imminently.

The board clearly prefers reducing the debt burden to the income potential from LSH. I agree with them, a return of adverse headwinds will debilitate the business. They should fix the roof whilst the sun is shining.

Oh dear! It would be very bad if the sale falls through... Shareholders will be biting their fingers until the next update! Dear oh dear oh dear!

Mortgage approvals at highest rate since 2017

Mortgage approvals reached their highest level in nearly two and a half years in December, offering further evidence that the economy has begun to pick up since Boris Johnson’s election landslide.

Encouraging update from BLV today

The Group has achieved a year of outstanding growth with revenue up 43% to GBP19.5m* (2018: GBP13.7m) and consequently the Board expects that the performance for the year, including profit before tax, will be comfortably ahead of management's expectations.

Many of the Bairstow Eves and Abbots branches carrying too little stock but its pleasing to see that some of the other brands branches have up to 50% of their entire portfolio either under offer or Sold subject to contract.

That's certainly is a change

Decent statement from LSL this morning, might give a boost here.

We anticipate full year Group Underlying Operating Profit(1) for the year ended 31st December 2019 will be slightly ahead of the Board's prior expectations and slightly ahead of last year which is a highly resilient performance in the context of challenging residential market conditions during 2019.

All in all I'm very pleased with how the CWD share price as performed this week, very positive indeed.

The PMI data came in very slightly over what analysts had forecast but only by a cat's whisker of which some analysts by that PMI data seem to feel the Bank of England will hold interest rates at 0.75%, I'm personally still in the camp that an interest rate cut is needed to boost the economy, all will be revealed next Thursday but however the decision goes I feel it will be a close call.
