09/11/2020 08:57 | that was a good rns this morning was to buy in at start of morning | bunz3
09/11/2020 08:52 | 250p offer in light of: "The board of Countrywide has indicated that Countrywide is in urgent need of recapitalisation to reduce its net debt and lessen its exposure to its lenders. The board of Countrywide believes that, in the absence of a recapitalisation, Countrywide is unlikely to be able to execute its business strategy over the short and medium term and there is a risk that it could end up in administration, with Countrywide shareholders losing all or a substantial portion of their investment." What? Sounds a bonkers bid Surely you bite their hand off and take that offer! With the takeover frenzy out there, who is to say higher risk companies like this won't attract more attention. It's a nutty ole world at times! | sphere25
09/11/2020 08:49 | Excellent offer, the market in ripe for increasing M&A activity across numerous sectors, Covid is temporary | ny boy
06/11/2020 20:04 | Yes I realise that. The point I am making is that as I have added 2 more lots since that date which as you say have no eligibility . I should have sat on my hands and waited either taken a punt at tendering my holding (pre Oct 22nd) at 180p and or taking up my 6/11 allocation at 135p and not try and guess the end up price (142/151p) post consolidation | hillofwad
05/11/2020 12:45 | Difficult one.I have bought in at 151p and yesterday at 142 since the announcement on the basis I was going to tender at 180p With hindsight I wish I hadn't as that means less likely to takeup my rights issue as you can't do both I dont think its going to happen as it will get voted it | hillofwad
05/11/2020 12:39 | tender offer, open offer? or do nothing? what is the simplest, most sensible thing to do? advice please. | hedgehog5
05/11/2020 11:05 | You should have been offered both | hillofwad
05/11/2020 09:50 | I've been credited with a load of open offer entitlements and the opportunity to invest in excess, fair enough, weren't we expecting a tender offer also? Or is that not for us pleb PIs? | squeamish1
04/11/2020 11:28 | The fate of the company is now in the hands of Hoskings with 14% If they decide to run with Catalist it means the BODS will not get the required 75% majority to gift the company to Alchemy Potentially yet another in a long line of moves by the BODS ending in abortive costs What have shareholders holders done so wrong as to deserve this set of BODS | hillofwad
23/10/2020 13:31 | we saw what happened when platt crawled back under her stone...600k!! WTF!! | nemesis6
22/10/2020 12:25 | Basically the exiting BODS with golden goodbyes are shafting shareholders royally gift wrapping control to Alchemy The whole tone is doom and gloom deliberately burying all the good news of Q3 where sales are up 40% from July to make it look as if Alchemy are a white knight to the rescue Downvaluing goodwill We dont need rescuing or a capital injection of that magnitude diluting s'holder value This is the best they could say looking forward as a real dampener "However, it is still too early to assess the long-term impact of COVID-19 on the economy, and specifically housing transactions and, as a result the Group is unable to provide guidance for the full year ending 31 December 2020." Its the 22nd October so we are nearly there with the maj of properties which are likely to complete this year already exchanged so they should have a fair idea! This is what 10% shareholder Robin Paterson says who has been ignored “As one of the company’s largest shareholders, Catalist strongly opposes this unnecessary, ill-judged and dilutive transaction which, while clearly a very attractive deal for Alchemy, is destructive for shareholders and only serves to fund the continuation of a flawed “back to basics” business plan.” | hillofwad
22/10/2020 09:55 | What a ridiculously complex corporate action!! Why buy back and issue new shares at the same time? I see the total fees seem to be around £8m - on a raise of £90m. I think it will take me a full 2 weeks just to understand the various possibilities, whether to tender or participate in the capital raise. But, on my understanding to date, the decision to allow directors full discretion on how excess applications under the OO will be allocated under the 2nd and 4th clawback allocations only heightens the uncertainty if I decide to support the OO. If I do so (and forego therefore the tender offer), I am leaving myself open to the whim of the directors on how my application might be treated. | jane deer
26/9/2020 05:24 | Remarkably quiet on this board ,I guess more in fear of upsetting momentum. Slowly but surely sales have been piling up at the door The bus has been reversed and I should think some very relieved bankers It would be tragic if the current set of BODS interfere in anyway with the structure before a new regime arrives who can capitalise on the momentum and initiate some much needed changes Head of Surveying say professional services has said he has never known it so so busy .That is paid work not an instruction with a hoped for sale Sure the tide will turn soon but the wave of completions will carry on to late November filling coffers and putting them relatively square for an uncertain future CWD at long last (or should I say goodbye to Long)has become a real exciting opportunity | hillofwad
03/9/2020 13:09 | Whether Mr Paterson and his colleagues succeed in getting their hands on Cwd, after which one imagines some long awaited structural changes will occur (hopefully including the instant dismissal of the appalling Chairman and most of his totally inept and dysfunctional board) remains to be seen. The long suffering shareholders however will be pleased to see the share price having tripled in a short time.Good luck to them! | tarrant777
