I wonder if the CE's real job is not to report on mining progress, but rather the more difficult one of making up reports to keep the punters hanging on for the rest of their natural lives. !

It seems there are lots of things happening on the ground, but seemingly just not to CNR's advantage. so it has to be more of the same again. Why not just admit it, but that would never do as Fees would vanish overnight.

Nothing would give me greater pleasure than to be proved completely wrong, but after all this time, the evidence is very negative. Hoping for a rabbit to be pulled out of a hat.

News I have received:
1st- Survey of numbers of miners working:
-every year cnr does a survey of the number of artisanal miners working in the concessions.
-Apparently cnr is currently doing this survey.
This survey is required by the government; this is one of the reasons why the mine minister recently visited this mining area.
Comment: MC must know the exact number of artisanal miners working in this area; therefore you could ask him how many jobs we have destroyed so far (as we have kicked out many miners from our land), and how many we will destroy in the long term. We will generate a short term tax boom revenue for the government, however long term we will destroy jobs. This is bcs we want to mine where hundreds of artisanal have been working for decades.

2nd-Land:
Let’s see what cnr does about the concern raised by a former land owner who was asked to leave its former land in spite what the sale contract says, cnr is taking its time to respond to him. Original order date to evacuate is approaching fast.
Comment: will this have retrospective consequences for those already kicked out?

3rd visit to Water installations -Everybody appreciates that cnr is bringing water to some communities, this is very good PR. Apparently this is one of the reasons why the mining minister visited cnr’s water installations.

No further news

Hopefully the FS is issued soon and we have a government intervention to move all the stakeholders forward with a durable peace, so that we have a sustainable future.

Why shouldn't we be here are people who espouse views that others don't agree with pariahs? Freedom of thought comes to mind? Whether I agree with other points of view or not we are all entitled to speak our minds or certainty the last time I looked?

Look at Centamin - they are also exploiting blah blah dictator but they contribute a lot of jobs and cash to the Egyptian economy. There's no reason why CNR shouldn't do ok in ESG if they choose.

btw Oldie, if you really want a masterclass in risk management this isn't the forum and I'm probably not the best teacher. Good luck though.

Given that Condor have spent 10+ years, and so far tens of millions of pounds, and have yet to get any gold out of the ground, what are the chances of local boy Miguel and his handful of mates with fourpence h'appeny between them and a couple of picks and shovels, making a go of it ?

No sure length of delays, we would have two years to do that while mine is built
There is lots and lots of gold under the village, apparently richest deep vein is under the village
We would need to update previous studies, and probably ask for more finance to build houses?
