We most probably have all land to build the mine infrastructure
And we have made offers for the rest of the land , remaining land is on the pit (this is not required to build the plant)
However I thought we need all land to get the Environmental Permit? It seems I was wrong??

The company knows that in the limit it can use CPO’s to purchase the remaining land. CNR therefore knows it can have legal agreements to purchase 100% of the land.

Zangdook, they didn't lie to the government.

Oh really?

During 2021 the Company informed the Ministry of the Environment and Natural Resources ("MARENA") that it had commenced construction and fulfilled the conditions of an Environmental Permit granted for the development, construction, and operation of an open pit mine, a 2,800 tpd or 1.0 Mt per annum CIP processing plant and associated infrastructure at the La India Project, Nicaragua (the "EP").
...
Under the terms of the EP, the Company has to purchase or have legal agreements in place for the land required for the mine site infrastructure. Offers have been made to all land owners. The Company has now purchased 98% of the land in and around the permitted La India open pit mine site area and is close to completing one of the main conditions of the EP and significantly de-risking the Project.

So, during 2021 the Company informed MARENA that it had fulfilled the conditions of the EP. On 29 March 2022 the Company was close to completing one of the main conditions of the EP.

How do you explain that?

It is not his fault he is paid well
they should have paid him at least the 50% of his salary in shares at market price, that would have focused him more
For a good day all

CNR Up 1.5% to 33p on the back of a 10000 UT at full offer of 34p. Let’s see if that indicates the direction of travel this week as we await news.

Zangdook, they didn't lie to the government. They informed the government of their situation, the government had a period of time to respond to object. This time passed with no response from the government, hence them supporting the project.

Why are you complaining about whining when your own posts are nothing but? The whole crux here is the land and the apparent dishonesty of the company. I'm tired of responding to "if you're not happy, sell". That's not how investment works and as I told the last whiner, I don't do risk management masterclasses.

In the results announcement the company explicitly said that it had lied to the government about fulfilment of permit conditions. Maybe the RNS was written by a moron and in fact the company didn't lie, but if the RNS was correct then what guarantee do we have that "A compulsory purchase agreement will happen when the time is right"? If we've lied to them, why shouldn't the government just cancel all our permits?

Do you think that The same laws to exprópiate the artisanal miners land could be used to exprópiate us la mestiza with the excuse to promote the local micro-economy for the next 100 years, and for us to be able to start mining on the India vein (ie the law could be used to force a land swap as the miners want)? If I were the government I would support that, if I were cnr I would plead that in exchange for la Mestiza they give us the cooperative’s land + the land where the village sits.

Every year the government does a census of the number of miners working around the village’s artisanal gold mines. Why? Bcs government wants to know the level of employment and income generated.

So government is well aware of the social changes that cnr mine may bring in the artisanal miners community (mining is the largest local employer around this village).

the final price for the cooperative’s land could be very high , or very low,… cnr probably knows what the government position is. We know what the miners have asked for.

Question is how much from la mestiza we will loose to support the artisanal miners community , they own land we need, a land swap is coming, and in my view all should win. It is telling that the bfs does not include la mestiza, this means we could negotiate to give it away, or a part of it, for other land.

Miners are getting more and more industrious, recently I watch a large track with many tons of ore on a local road. We are loosing lots of gold every year we delay the project and we keep printing more shares at low prices. Owning all land would multiply the share price x2 overnight and reduce dilution. So imho we need all the land asap, and I would argue that actually it is critical for the wealth of the small shareholders.

We may end up with a bfs of 70k oz anual production, and a future plan with lots of drilling to increase reserves with no sign of dividends for the foreseeable future till we start extracting ore from deep mining in cacao and/or la india (first years will be very costly with not revenue).

In the other hand, if we keep the majority of la mestiza, we should produce 100kz per year , for 10 years, and have dividends after the 1st or 2nd year with spare cash to increase reserves and production.

Your guess as good as mine.

Regards

B.
