26/2/2006 09:32 | andy> i'm doing a bit of research . of course i'm talking about pechora the bloody oil company in respect of due diligence and the mou that runs til 1/3/2006... read this news release extract. DETAILS OF THE PLACING The placing consisted of the issue of 44,444,444 new ordinary shares being placed with Institutions at a price of 2.25p (GBP 3m market capitalisation), raising GBP 1m before expenses. The majority of the funds raised will be used to complete due diligence and gain a competent person's report regarding the acquisition of Pechora Energy, as announced on 7 December 2005. In addition, some of the monies raised will also be used to carry out due diligence on the two neighbouring fields to Pechora Energy's assets which may be considered as future acquisitions and to provide due diligence for a further potential acquisition in the Volga Urals region. In total, this work is estimated to cost GBP 800,000. The remaining GBP 200,000 will supplement the Company's working capital requirements. when i say do people know about pechora, i mean how much 3p, 2p 1p reserves do they have ? Who are the engineers---- "The field has been evaluated by a well known firm of independent oil industry consultant engineers. The mix of proved, probable and possible reserves matches Concorde's stated acquisition objectives." if they dont acquire an interest in pechora that's a lot of money gone on due diligence. Any other thoughts | jackohelp

26/2/2006 00:01 | aldharve, About what exactly? JAckohelp, Perhaps you could make your question more specific, so that we can determine what exactly it is you would like to know? For example, Pechora is a sea, a place, and an oil company, as far as I can make out. Here is an extract regarding the area in Russia where Pechora Energy are located. ==================== Breaking the ice Pressure on the Arctic hardens as Russian oil and gas companies go offshore. Meanwhile, problems concerning investments and technological solutions remain unsolved. Atle Staalesen, 2001-12-13 15:41 By some the Russian shelf is seen as the future of Russian oil and gas industry. Recently, the academician Alexander Lisitsyn from the Russian Oceanology Institute optimistically claimed that as much as 40% of world oil and gas reserves are located on the Russian continental shelf. Only 2% of these reserves are presently "explored". There has been a growing interest in Russian offshore oil and gas industry, not only in the Russian Far East and in the Caspian Sea, but also in the Russian Arctic. Twelve offshore oil and gas fields have been discovered only in the south eastern part of the Barents Sea and the Pechora Sea. Another 15-20 fields are expected to be found in this area by 2010. Also the Kara Sea contains considerable reserves. The two so far most prospective fields, the Shtockman gas-condensate field, where Norsk Hydro, TotalFinaElf, Conoco and Fortum are cooperating with the Russian Gazprom, and the Prirazlomnaya oil field, have a planned production start-up in 2006. | ![]() andy

25/2/2006 12:01 | hard work, Yes, I think you may be corect there. I don't expect an announcement on the 1/3/06 either, they may be still in negotiations. | ![]() andy
25/2/2006 09:45 | I agree MM. Part of me thinks it was issued to soothe the nerves as D day approaches. | ![]() hard work
25/2/2006 09:19 | Don't think they would make statements like that if things were uncertain. MM | mmorrismikey
25/2/2006 09:16 | This was from their news release last Wednesday: PETER HUGHES, CONCORDE'S CHIEF EXECUTIVE, COMMENTED: "Steven's appointment will bring additional robustness to our internal controls, which will be essential as we progress our business plan. Steven's existing knowledge of Concorde will enable him to have an immediate role in this important period for the company as we continue to evaluate our proposed acquisition of Pechora Energy. As announced at the end of last year, we have a period of exclusivity on Pechora until the beginning of March; progress continues on schedule." The final sentence would seem to indicate that everything is on plan. Wether completion will be on 1st March however, I don't know. | ![]() hard work
25/2/2006 06:45 | aldharve Don't know what does anyone else think. 1. Deal falls through / they pull out? 2. They finalise and announce the deal? 3. They agree an extension to exclusivity? 4. They continue negotiations without exclusivity? | ![]() matt

22/2/2006 15:34 | The only time move to AIM has been mentioned is through an interview which has subsequently been pulled. Option period on Pechora ends 1st March, expect placing and move to AIM around that time if DD is ok. BTW, I am in Heritage Petroleum, but you'll have to go over to that BB! | ![]() sranmal
22/2/2006 15:30 | Thanks, Safiande and Leeson. I saw an earlier post that suggests CDE is moving to AIM, but cannot find any reference to this on OFEX. Any idea when and if this will happen...? Also, what do you guys think about Heritage Petroleum. | gizmo8
