04/2/2006 19:25 | paxman - 3 Feb'06 - 11:54 - 281 of 283 " ... Wary of OFEX companies - that cost me. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. ... " Paxman, The nearest OFEX equivalent to SVE is EYE - Eyeconomy Holdings. SVE boss Bruce Rowan and EYE boss Paul McGroary seem to have some sort of working relationship. Paul McGroary is also CEO of India Star Energy, and last week SVE invested £150K. into INDY. EYE's current market cap. is just £1.17M. at 8.365p: Some of EYE's holdings may have good newsflow over the next few months. B.F. | ![]() blank frank

03/2/2006 11:54 | Concorde is my best investment percentage wise over the last 3 months and that's coming from a VOG shareholder! Only trouble is I only invested one hundredth of the amount I put into VOG! Wary of OFEX companies - that cost me. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. If there is a presentation from Concorde I too would be most interested in attending. | ![]() paxman

01/2/2006 18:15 | hey thanks tone, only have a small holding here - will add on news. Doubled my holding in UEN this morning in fact. Also sitting on nice gains in VOG (42p) and EME (25p) so no intentions in selling any of these for a while yet. Another one I like is SCR (mining)... anyway I'll be keeping my eyes peeled for future posts from yourself, Z, SM et al!! cheers. | ![]() woodpecker25
01/2/2006 17:04 | cheers TT. Been eager to get in since 7p, but funds only came available today. Not to worry, more interested in the share price in 6+ months time. | ![]() woodpecker25
01/2/2006 16:01 | Just my luck - got into CDE today and then it drops! .. to be expected buying at all time high. Sounds like an exciting story here, thanks to the usual experts for their posts. | ![]() woodpecker25
01/2/2006 15:47 | Wass, I see that you were getting some undeserved stick on the EME board (or was it on VOGs?). I had been thinking about Concorde, but am already in SVE, and have been for over a year. Actually well back in profit there at last, thanks partly to their CDE holding. | topsy turvy
01/2/2006 15:43 | Andy - do that, but Ian is also going to buzz them in a week or two. Glad I bought my SVE last week! | ![]() wassapper
01/2/2006 15:10 | This looks like a tree shake,over 100k buys and the price drops.You can only buy 7.5k online at squaregain but they'll take 75k off you. | ![]() johnyee7
01/2/2006 13:39 | Wow SVe Sharevest is now flying, mostly on back of CDE from what i gather. They own 49% i think | ![]() krutt
01/2/2006 12:58 | Starvest is good share to be in at the moment everything they are investing in is coming up trumps. | ![]() krutt
01/2/2006 12:32 | RNS out for Starvest... nav now 40p, shareprice 16.... helped mainly by concorde's performance | ![]() currypasty
01/2/2006 11:24 | Wassaper, I will try and talk to PH again. | ![]() andy
31/1/2006 22:00 | I am not worried about EME. It is Eagle that is most interesting. Germany is blue sky but looking encouraging at present. Better than I thought. Yes I have some HEP. A waiting game. Not so confident about a placing, but it is not uncommon. Another poster is establishing a company that aims to bring together sensible PIs and companies that wish to widen their exposure/get their message across. Very simply they would be able to raise money from us without having to pay broker commissions. He will be contacting them as it gives more credibility. If however I come across Bruce Rowan or Tony Scutt (Starvest) in the next couple of weeks (possibly at Minesite) then I will push the case with them. They are 49% shareholders after all! | ![]() wassapper
31/1/2006 19:51 | wassaper totally tied up with my ordinary job, meetings etc so not able to get to a pc with the advfn software loaded on it at work. Just knackered when i get in so haven't read the hundreds of posts. (or on VOG either where i have a substantial holding as well as in uen). Your right about ael, have it on my watch list though totally tied up with funds eleswhere unfortunately. Don't think there is too much to worry about on eme re Glantal at this stage - Pannonian have done the same with the Falcon oil and Gas team in Romania on the cbm play there and awaiting further tests - so still being evaluated. Aren't Heritage -ofex close by re the french cbm plays also. As for a placement here pre AIM - how confident are you - (contacts ?). By the way - ADVFN seems to be playing up this past few days - crashes/freezes etc - see they're shutting off at 10pm for maintenace. | ![]() zengas
31/1/2006 19:37 | Will do Zen - where have you been today? The EMEers are worried. I have held from 25p so not so concerned as some! Have a look at this one ....Time to take a look at Anzon Energy (AEL) producing now in the politically safe area of the Bass Straits in Oz. Entitled to a 28.5% share of production. Currently 2,700 bopd. Full field development testing and work complete by mid-year will give them a net 7,125 bopd. Light crude. First oil sales this month have netted them around £5.3m (Aus$15m) They have attributable cash from recent farm-in by Beach Petroleum of c£10m. Market cap only £64m. After the typical listing fall the shares have just started turning up as interest grows. Upside from exploration and proven fields 100% owned in Indonesia. | ![]() wassapper |
