03/9/2021 17:51 | Long been that 90 something was mis-priced debt - eg market movement on credit spreads 80 something was distressed/risky but performing And when you get sub 80 insolvency/future non-performance/impa | williamcooper104
03/9/2021 13:14 | And were they struggling to pay the debt off pre covid too?? oh dear... | millenniallnvestor
02/9/2021 15:17 | Cineworld's debt is unsustainable at current levels of revenues and admissions, which explains it's non-investment grade 'junk' status. Do not forget that debt is higher ranked than shareholders equity when it comes to administration. The problem is also that cineworld only made a profit after tax of around 5% of revenues in 2019. Pre covid the 2019 profit after tax was down significantly from 2018 to 2019 (from $284.3 million to $180.3 Million). The trend would most likely have continued without Covid, thanks to streaming. | lthtrust

01/9/2021 16:47 | Well flu has not stopped people going to the cinema.....the same will happen with covid with the vaccine roll out completing.....all down to Q4 now and with the big film releases going ahead....then debt interest payments on debt will be covered....imo | forfaiter1
01/9/2021 16:45 | Meh —— john091 Sep '21 - 10:40 - 7754 of 7760 Edit I think you have to wait for closes before you get excited on prices because it can fly up and close flat as a witches tit | john09
01/9/2021 16:40 | Will there ever be an after Covid ? or will it be like the flu, but worse ? Cineworld had a lot of debt after the Regal takeover, they have since taken on over $1 Billion of extra, mostly expensive, debt as a result of covid/coronavirus. There is a reason why the Cineworld/Regal bonds are non-investment grade i.e. 'Junk' status. | lthtrust
01/9/2021 15:42 | L I think the city may be attempting to price stock after covid. dyor | srpactive
01/9/2021 15:37 | Borrowing money to pay expensive debt interest amongst other liabilities is never good longer term. The fact that cineworld borrowed another $200 Million in July 2021 gives an indication that things are not going well with achieving close to 2019 revenue levels. The current box office totals are also looking weak. | lthtrust
01/9/2021 13:35 | I was ticked down on my last comment, it was humour, good god. | srpactive
