05/8/2021 17:14 | Nice rise this afternoon - news pending perhaps SRP ? | superspoons1
05/8/2021 15:46 | Well if the odeon has updated the market, I would have thought cine will do so also. Hopefully soon. dyor | srpactive
05/8/2021 12:33 | All Unfortunately both sides are correct here, we have the cinemas opening and decent viewing figures seem to be building and should improve with the big films due Autumn onwards. We have the poor balance sheet to repair. Time will tell. Good posts keep a decent balanced thread, well done all. dyor active | srpactive
05/8/2021 11:10 | Good Post FF - factual which is what we all need. Looking forward to results and any news in between. The list of big films on the way is very good news and not everyone wants to sit at home - the price of a few buckets of popcorn and expensive sweets won't deter people from going, people have money saved up for days out with the family so I expect attendance figures to rise as the weather worsens too. | superspoons1
05/8/2021 08:41 | For a business to "bounce back quickly" they need to start off by turning a profit and stop this senseless - unaffordable - borrowing. | millenniallnvestor
04/8/2021 22:32 | One minute you can be in good profit, licking your lips on your short position and eyeing up the 12th August with constant negativity. Sometimes greed causes you to take your eye off the ball. Then along comes a leading industry source that speaks with authority and tells it as it is and the one thing that Cineworld does have in abundance over any other share is the ability to bounce back quickly. I am now looking forward to what CEO Greidinger might be saying on 12/8. | firm foundations
04/8/2021 14:05 | £300 million in interest on debt for starters! | millenniallnvestor
04/8/2021 12:35 | How big will the first half 2021 loss be? Cineworld have already borrowed more money to survive, but for how long. | lthtrust
04/8/2021 12:00 | Mmm. Looks like 12th Aug! | pwal
04/8/2021 11:53 | Must be due for some results in Sept. Anyone know the date? | pwal
04/8/2021 11:34 | Who knows for sure LTH, but we do know there has been month on month improvement industry wide. We know it is much closer now than 2 months ago. We also know if they have not met base case they are still in business and have secured some additional funding should they require it. So despite a year of you saying they won't, they are still here and now open and at least in a position to try and trade out of it. Still not been nuked by Iran ;-) | 1happyinvestor
04/8/2021 11:17 | The US box office total (cumulative gross) for July 2021 was $582,170,423. This is less than half the $1,288,196,026 it was in July 2019. Are cine World meeting their base scenario? Source boxofficemojo. | lthtrust
04/8/2021 08:35 | MI Ok, I hope you are making money from your understanding. Lots of 66.6p shares price figures over the past few days and a number of 1 trades this morning, seen this before at another of my holdings the other year. I am expecting news soon maybe before the 12th. dyor active | srpactive
03/8/2021 14:23 | I wouldn't say i'm linked to farming but I have a good understanding of it. | millenniallnvestor
03/8/2021 11:57 | MI Good insight, it sounds as if you are linked to farming is that so? | srpactive
03/8/2021 11:26 | qualifications are only useful to prove your knowledge to someone... knowledge does not equal skill. why not use your own developed skills to start a business etc? Qualifications don't even prove you can do something either, like down here in cornwall, "students" who have studied for 5+ years about seeds, fertiliser, cultivating jump into a tractor and have no idea what they are doing because they dont have the skill. Look at someone who has grown up on a farm, dropped out of school at 16 will do a much better job because they have a REAL understanding and have learnt the hard way what works and understand why it works etc. Not one made up from books. | millenniallnvestor
02/8/2021 14:29 | w104 Yes that was the point I was attempting to make, if it was not in something useful. More important to acquire a position linked to share options really. | srpactive
02/8/2021 14:15 | Actually a decent phd is worth weight in gold If I was a student it's what I'd do now | williamcooper104
02/8/2021 14:12 | mi Nice to hear, but you must keep improving your qualifications along the way too aswell as working. | srpactive
02/8/2021 11:47 | mi Well unfortunately your generation are led to believe the only way forward is to buy a degree, then buy a masters or even phd, then at twenty seven with some worthless history or geography qualification realise that may have been a mistake. The only pockets they are greasing are the landlords and student halls, why do you think Goldman are buying accommodation? dyor | srpactive
02/8/2021 11:38 | Doesn't bother me because its our generation that will be paying for this mess. | millenniallnvestor |
