Reading the documents, says plenty about noor crooked attitude, leaving aside churchill, this has to imply enormous problems for Roi, and foreign investment.

Joko widodo, needs to see the back of chl, asap.

Another recent article (1 week old) quoting his personal issues to deal with. Very timely!

Re: Isran Noor. I see he resigned as chairman of the PKPI about a month ago. Here's a statement from him in the attached article

"Because Isran Noor had to deal with personal issues that do not want to disturb PKPI. There is a problem I have to deal with."

You bet there's a looming problem mate!

I'm quietly confident Indonesia have a better economy than Venezuela at the moment.

Yesterday’s Rusoro award is the latest affirmation of a deeply troubling system. If nothing else, ICSID’s decision in this case will encourage more multinational corporations to exploit loopholes in international treaties to launch massive claims for compensation against struggling governments.

Rossannon

So was David Quinlivan the company director ramping when he said "quietly we are confident we will walk past the authenticity phase"

Regarding Rusoro case, did you know what the company is owned by Russian oligarch?

Flying Swans post tonight makes this evil doctor, Buywell and debbie_goes_to_dallas look like the worst derampers in history.

Hopefully we will get justice against these derampers from Churchill winning the forgery and then time to load the stakes even higher, ready for the huge settlement.

In fairness even bad robot has changed his tune with a £2.80 price target. I wish these bad eggs do show us some respect by doing the same.

Could be - I'm not familiar with that case or the views the investors / traders in Rusoro have of Venezuela. But ross is right (7367). If ROI won't pay any award made against them CHL can simply attach their overseas assets in ICSID signatory countries. And ROI have plenty of such assets. That might take some time, but ultimately CHL will get their cash if successful before ICSID and that will be reflected in the share price before the cash comes in.

Long time readers of this board may recall the sterling work done by other posters (mostly masarap from memory) in contacting the relevant government bodies to ask for pressure to be applied to ROI over this case. After some squirming, twisting and turning the reply eventually came back (predictably) that the CHL case is still being decided. And whether we like it or not that is, for now at least, factually correct. But if CHL ultimately win and ROI won't honour the judgement I would expect the UK government to take a very different view on this case then. They would be obliged to do so, no matter how politically inconvenient it might be to do so. And eventually CHL will realise any award made in their favour, or possibly accept a slight discount for prompt payment. But certain posters who kept peddling the line of "you'll never see a penny from the indos" etc are simply trolling investors here. If CHL win then ROI will pay, or be made to pay. Either way is fine by me - I don't mind which.

No doubt if and when CHL prevail in the present decision on document authenticity the share price will go up and down like the proverbial yo-yo as traders move in and out of what is a relatively illiquid stock. But if CHL win here and the share price does anything other than rerate substantially upwards (in general terms - I realise it will bounce around for a while) I'll be backing up the truck for as many shares as I can get, as value always comes out in the end.

Looked at another way - if CHL win this phase where do ROI go next ? This is their last throw of the dice in real terms. If ROI lose now, as we hope and expect then the "if" goes out of it. The questions become "how much " and "when". And the "how much" part of the equation is likely to make today's price look like the bargain of the century.

All IMVHO.

Agree. Better cheeky placing than litigation funders.
CHL has $2m in the bank as well.

Should not get carried away and fingers crossed first for positive forgery decision.

Ross (7360)I was going to suggest that claimants exaggerate their claims by three if the tribunals were only going to offer a third. Lol!Seems as though when there is an insurance claim, that everything and the kitchen sink is thrown in. ;0)

Wulber if the forgery case is won, chl have won the case in my view. Then its all about what payment they will get.I have heard in Asian countries land(plots) is sold to one party and then sold again to another when corruption is involved. If this is the case roi are liable.

If these tribunals were doing it properly, then a payout of a third would not be the expected as each case should be based on its merits.
