So these EMRA payment figures combined with the shipment reports does give a pretty good picture, me thinks, especially when compared to historic results. And also taking into account gold price of course.

The 2017 September EMRA contribution was $17.2 million. So the $4.5m from September this year probably indicates that AISC was still pretty high, comparatively.

(Though the gold price helped also of course, in September 2017 It ranged between $1279–$1349)

You are free to ignore it. I think there is no such thing as too much info and think it can be useful to give an indication of what can be achieved.

E.g. to get to 145k oz this quarter they need to be shipping on average 402.46kg per week (assuming the dore has a purity of 86.2%). If we saw a shipment with a much higher or a much lower figure then that could be interesting info.

It at least is real info and a snapshot of production so in my opinion more useful than e.g. looking at charts.

I Google Arabic phrases from earlier reports and also have bookmarked Egyptian news sites which carry the reports, e.g youm7 and vetogate. Not foolproof but I have found all shipments this way which others have found.

Golden cross is usually taken as the 50 day crossing the 200 day, we're a seriously long way from that. We do seem to have a mini cross though, 20 day crossing the 50 day.
