I think AVAP paid 21.8p last time so that would be their statutory minimum cash bid. Jeff has not sorted out the bridging loan but increased overheads; presumably subsidising either him or AVAP or both. If the tax issue is resolved we may see some progress. Either way CLA seems like a broken pencil.

AVAP been tipped by Simon Thompson in IC today. Using the conversion ratio offered earlier this year and current prices it would be worth 24.75p a share to CLA. Somehow I don't think they would be that generous though.

The message is clear. If CLA is a dog, will the fleas rub off on AVAP.

It is certainly hard to explain the increases in the funding costs and the admin costs. Still better off in the AVAP camp I think

Big Yawn. AVAP simply doing their best to mismanage the company and forcing shareholders into submission. Finance costs should fall markedly next year which will help the bottom line. Won't be surprised if we get a few new entries in there to negate that.

Touch disappointing again, I feel. Undershot brokers EPS forecasts by 10% and a couple warnings re refinancing of debt, value of aircraft and tax treatment for which they may have to make a future provision.

I am guessing that most of the nominee holding is CLA's original backers held in trust. What would they think of an offer less than NAV?

To be fair I would accept AVAP paper having done OK in the past with it, but the conversion rate would have to be 25p minimum and even then AVAP would be getting a great deal. WH Ireland issued a note late last year with a 35p target price for CLA based on CLA being rated on parity with their peers.

Business is Business. But AVAP requires large amounts of capital to finance its business. It should offer AVAP paper to buy out our minority. Jeff would be naive to "disappoint" new shareholders for the sake of a few quid when he will be asking us to finance the next deal pretty soon.

Horndean - looks like you might get your 20p without a bid.

Ive been holding less than a year so maybe not as sensitive on price as others might be. The alternative is they continue what they have been doing. Running the company for their own benefit with no dividends. NAV might rise but its neither here nor there if you are never going to see that come back to you. Id probably want nearer 22p in AVAP shares. The thing wobbles around and need a bit of padding to reflect potential falls.

I think I would be wanting more than that, or a fair share swap for AVAP shares.

You would happily walk away with 20p per share and a huge discount to net assets?

Haven't checked for a while, Dave, but I recalled the NAV to be 35p?

no idea. My only guess is that AVAP might make a bid for the remaining shares and the share price could be normalising to NAV. But whatever the reason, I'm not complaining.

Creeping up steadily on week by week basis and good to see te hosue broker WH ireland leading the shares up by being on the bid in 50k shares size. Results soon. Maybe better than forecast or maybe the MM's see an AVAP bid.

You may need to be very patient if you are using a retail broker.
