30/10/2007 15:33 | sell off still continuing in canada unfortunatly i think we will probably end in the red Lets hope for a positive out come of the farm in | easson
30/10/2007 15:24 | Would sugest the rns is rather good but clearly I might be in a minority | seagreen
30/10/2007 15:06 | looks like those who bought @11:30am have been well stitched up mug punters | cool hand kev
30/10/2007 15:00 | Stuart - news is out re potential farm in partner - hence drop in canada & then mirrored here | easson
30/10/2007 14:59 | RNS out to dampen speculation? The Board of Caspian Energy Inc, an oil and gas exploration company operating in Kazakhstan, notes the recent movement in its share price. For a number of months the Company has undertaken discussions with potential farm-in partners concerning one of its blocks, which may or may not lead to a transaction. There is currently no firm timing regarding any potential transaction. | drewz
30/10/2007 14:52 | As I said before, the rise was completely led by Canada up till this morning, as which point London got ahead. Canada is now dropping, so this will probably drop here to. A lot of the initial rise happened pre-market and was not led by increased buying, or news, so was always shakey. Will still be interesting to see if news turns up soon, or if this was just a technical recovery. | stuart14
30/10/2007 13:40 | is the rise over last day or so anything to do with this? Highlights of the quarter Recently, ONGC Mittal Energy (OMEL), a joint venture between ONGC Videsh (OVL) and the LN Mittal-promoted Mittal Investment Sarl (MIS), acquired a 30% participating interest in an exploratory block, 11-12, in Turkmenistan from Maersk Oil Turkmenistan BV of Denmark. With an area of 5,663 sq km in the Caspian Sea, the block is located close to discovered and producing fields, and contains a number of prospects with significant reserve potential. | robin_of_loxley
30/10/2007 13:36 | lol, yeah right ;-) which principles are those? why exactly are you posting here? | robin_of_loxley
30/10/2007 13:35 | seagreen I do not short - it is completely against my principles. | ayesha4
30/10/2007 13:33 | lol seagreen | robin_of_loxley
30/10/2007 13:28 | Robin some people specialise in irespective of what is going on placing a little short on rapid risers.... These people can be readily identifiable as they walk around wiht burnt fingers | seagreen
30/10/2007 13:22 | what nonsense ayesha I just checked the online limits, and posted what I saw on screen I have no idea why it is rising or whether it is sustainable This is a share I followed ages back when certain other people posted good things about it, and has been on my radar ever since, despite the massive fall. I bought a few on the start of the rise, and am comfortably in profit with profits locked in. I would be genuinely interested to know why this is rising. no advice intended | robin_of_loxley
30/10/2007 13:20 | You doing a good job ramping this. I'd be careful - 20p to 50p rise - this is not sustainable. due a tick down | ayesha4
30/10/2007 13:17 | seems online quote to buy is only 750 shares no advice intended | robin_of_loxley
30/10/2007 13:15 | hmmm interesting just checked online limits, couldnt buy 1000, but can sell 10,000 more to come I wonder? no advice intended | robin_of_loxley
30/10/2007 12:58 | of course it could. It will be interesting to see what happens. Im already in profit having bought back in the other day, gains locked in, so not worried either way. no advice intended, RoL >>>>>--------------- | robin_of_loxley
30/10/2007 12:52 | Now 40% higher than Canada close. ROL Could easily fall from here. no advice intended | ayesha4
30/10/2007 12:42 | Well, nice to be in profit on these, will be interesting to see how far and how high it runs to. no advice intended, RoL >>>>>>-------------- | robin_of_loxley
30/10/2007 12:02 | How does this impact other cheap Kazakh Oil Co's? I see CSH is also trending up recently. | artful_dodger
30/10/2007 12:02 | Canada have definitely been leading the price over the last few days, although i'd agree today London has got ahead of where Canada left off. Will be interesting to see where the TSX opens. | stuart14
30/10/2007 11:59 | I think it's interesting that London seem to be leading the price of CEK at the moment. Usually it's Toronto that leads this share. Maybe there's some rumours in London about a buyer. Or maybe it is just rising because investors see it on the 'biggest risers' list and buy in to catch the momentum. Will it open at $1+ in Canada as it's now 53p here? | rupe1958
30/10/2007 11:58 | Know what you mean drewz: I was technically in profit for a while there at around 11.30. Not selling though after the pain of holding on right the way down. In for the long haul? already got the T-shirt on this one. Good luck all and let's hope all this mysterious activity comes to somthing this time. | cleo1601
30/10/2007 11:45 | Well I did say it could move quite quickly, but I didn't expect to be back in profit within 3 trading days! I can only think either the Chinese or Indians are active in the market looking to pick up cheap oil assets in the Caspian Basin. drewz - 25 Oct'07 - 20:15 - 265 of 294 edit 49p or around 98c is my breakeven so a long way to go. But this is well oversold at the moment so that gap could close quite quickly with a few decent drills in the shallow targets. 3 - 5 years, who knows? I like cheap oilers like this with small but growing production from highly prospective acreage. | drewz |
