It amazes me how many AIM listed Oilers exhibit the same chart over the past few years. Some of them must recover. I'm really tempted to join you guys here, they have some production, but what about debts?

Just checked online limits with Selftrade: Buy up to 1k full ask of 25p. Sell up to 50k @ 22.55. So, effective spread not as bad as it looks. I wish they'd state the real price instead of all this game playing which I guess just favours the SB companies. Anyway, judging from these limits we are more likely to get an uptick than a down one.

agreed drewz. But they even widened the spread in Toronto yesterday (45-49) but not as bad as here, ever. Don't personally think 20p on the bid reflects yesterday's movement, but nothing to do now except sit tight and continue to hope for better times.

Illiquid or what. They are offering on a 20% spread at the moment.

AIM is a disgrace. It really is.

49p or around 98c is my breakeven so a long way to go.

But this is well oversold at the moment so that gap could close quite quickly with a few decent drills in the shallow targets.

3 - 5 years, who knows?

I like cheap oilers like this with small but growing production from highly prospective acreage.

thanks for posting Rupe. Glad you think this is good news. My own average is somewhat higher than yours so I'm always watching closely. Now up even more 47-49. The most encouraging thing is the good volume. Let's hope we both soon reverse our losses here. My lowest purchase was 21p a while ago and I haven't seen anyone buy for less since.

Cleo - the last time I looked at Stockhouse the posters were convinced that CEK was about to raise funds with a discounted share issue.
So if the company is in fact selling existing shares, presumably held in Treasury then that seems to me good news from the existing investor's point of view.
Between now and Xmas we should be getting news of these shallow wells. If this news is positive the share price should recover pretty fast.
I have an average purchase price of 80 cents, so am still sitting on a largeish paper loss here.

Posters on Stockhouse think the huge trades are the company selling its own shares to raise cash for drilling this year.

Also was picked as a penny share (by Stockpick on 20 Oct) to buy between 35-40c

Should be spudding the first of several quick shallow wells anytime now which may well bring quick results. From 10 Aug:


William Ramsay, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Caspian Energy, Inc.

"I am pleased to report that wells 213 and 301 continue to perform very
satisfactorily at choked-back rates of 384 and 926 BOPD, respectively. In
addition, preparations are well advanced to begin the drilling of several
shallow well targets in the north western section of the North Block, identified
from the 3D seismic programme that was shot over the Baktygaryn area. These
individual targets may not be as large as those in the middle Carboniferous;
however, they still offer potential for meaningful recoverable amounts of oil
and furthermore, will be much quicker and more economic to drill."

I agree with you and sometimes have the strongest feeling that I'll wake up one morning and be unable to believe my eyes... in a good way for a change. It really does seem the most forgotten share I own, or know.

Gave me a real lift at this late hour to see some posts on here. And, yes, I did succumb and added at 21.7. Definitely and absolutely the last top-up...
