Is the same share as on TSX I wonder? up over 6% there again today, on good volume. Here - nothing. I just cannot understand. Can anyone help?

TSX now up over 13% and volume over 700k! I've taken my very last top-up with all the spare pennies lying in the account.

I'll turn out the lights as I leave then. Hope you are all having fun and will drop by soon to receive a nice surprise.

I hope this rise is due to rumours of good news re the EZ 303 test, which is now overdue I think.
If so, CEK could do an MXP and be at $1.50 in 3 months time.

is something finally afoot here today? up 7.6% on the TSX and the largest volume I can remember seeing - almost 400,000!

YOU hang YOUR head in shame? What do you think I should do since this is my second excursion into something with the word Caspian in the name! (CSH was once one of my largest holdings)...

All we can do now is hope drewz is right. I would not be amazed if this wins in the tortoise stakes when so many of my apparently promising hares are struggling. When you analyse the problems they don't really seem to warrant to the level of drift suffered (to my uneducated eye anyway). If there's plenty of product down there, hopefully it will just be a matter of time before they find ways to reclaim their tackle and begin to see it flow. $$$ £££ etc. Doesn't look like they're quite out of cash either! Fingers, toes & eyes crossed.

Need to adopt a long-term strategy with these shares.

Six months downwards drift on negligible volume can be entirely reversed in two or three trading sessions.

Sp up 8.8% overnight with almost 700k traded on the TSX. Dare we hope the corner might be turned?

it seems from the MXP bb that the rig is expected to be released to them by CEK any day. Any idea how long after that we can expect to hear something more here?

Chopsy - I don't lıve ın Canada. I lıve ın the UK. but choose to hold some twın-lısted stocks on the TSX rather than the LSE just because the spreads are smaller and the turnover ıs better. The CEK spread ın London has been rıdıculous.
Dısappoıntıng to have no news yet. Maybe thıs week.
V. posıtıve news from MXP thıs mornıng on reserves and resources from McDanıels. Can2t do CEK any harm ıf they can just produce some good news!

Most small to medium FSU energy co.s have turned a corner since mid-Feb. IEC has jumped spectacularly. MXP has done well. Urals Enery and Sibir have risen a bit. VOG has stabilised nd will jump if it can produce good news from its current well-testing. CEK has gone nowhere, but that is probably because in the absence of news investors have bcome impatient.
MXP's drop in the last few days may just be profit-taking.
If CEK gives a positive well test on EZ 303 it should follow the general trend upwards.
William Ramsay seems to me a thrifty and prudent kind of CEO. He'll try to stabilise production through the rest of 2007 at 2000 bpd+ and delay the more expensive deep drilling until CEK either has more cash or can borrow on better terms.
I've been making modest purchases under $80 because the upside seems greater than the downside.

I've been wondering if something bad here might be having a knock-on effect on Max just now - it's sudden fall from a huge upswing? I truly hope I'm wrong - on both counts! Good job it's only money, eh? At least we have the consolation of not having to trawl through thousands of rubbish posts whenever we want to check what the other 2 or 3 of us left here are thinking.

We should have results from EZ 303 by 'the end of the first quarter', which might raise the share price a bit.
Excellent recent performance of MXP share price should be helping CEK, though MXP's situation is certainly better in many ways.
Better to avoid buying CEK for the moment on the LSE, imo, with the current spread and illiquidity problem. Better to buy it on the TSX, where it has quite a respectable daily turnover.
Seems steady inn the TSX today at CAN$80, whereas a sharp fall on the LSE
