12/11/2022 23:04 | Queen Vic mid Dec, one we've done a few times. Not many can do a cruise which gets back 23ish Dec, so obviously great value. Plus each time you walk around, there's more Christmas decorations/trees/gi | pierre oreilly
12/11/2022 14:40 | pierregood to hear, not all bad on aurora, great mdr and food, staff great as usual, arvia next up for me, where / when is your next gig? | stansmith1

12/11/2022 09:26 | CCL shooting themselves in the foot again. Noé Chartier @NChartierET Cruise ship with estimated 800 COVID cases to dock in Sydney "All passengers and crew required negative COVID tests before joining the ship, and passengers over the age of 12 and crew needed to be fully vaccinated." | mroalan
12/11/2022 08:24 | That's a shame Stan. We've had a great time, helped a lot by them giving top loyalty to my Mrs ( but not me!) Which gives free access to spa ( what a nonsense all that mindfulness stuff is!), Free speciality meal, late check out, chocolate, macrons which I gobbled down in a few seconds, later to find they flogged them for two quid each), a few free drinks etc etc. 8 days is great but enough, ready to get off and recover! | pierre oreilly
11/11/2022 22:24 | just off aurora, not impressed, needs sold off like the other old boats, more iona and arvia please..... | stansmith1
11/11/2022 11:52 | Last day today. Overall assessment of the MSc competition - well it's an excellent value offering. It's more inyerface, loud, glitzy, brash to be of any concern imo to any CCL brands. It's just generating more cruise customers, which can only be a good thing. Av age 20 years less than pando and Cunard. A sort of cheap version of virgin, and Branson should be worried. We've had a great few days, the really big letdown for us is no proper dancing, negated by the opera show ( the only even vaguely cultural thing on board). | pierre oreilly
11/11/2022 10:37 | US short interest down to 14.13% as of 11th. | smurfy2001
08/11/2022 10:09 | Well it was rump last name ght. I told the waiter the last steak was inedible so I'll order the spaghetti aux lots of garlic. He said he'd bring both, and if I don't like the steak just leave it. So he brought both, and the rump (again, not recognisable to me as rump,) was incredibly tender and flavorful and cooked perfectly rare. So that cancels out the previous one. Overall, food 8/10, food good but not a main feature like on most ships. This is mainly a booze cruise, everything weighted to drinking, almost everyone on a drinks package. We're going to book another while they are so incredibly cheap. | pierre oreilly
08/11/2022 08:48 | Pierre How's the food going after the rib-eye debacle !! | panshanger1
08/11/2022 08:42 | Junk, I'm just making it up that we're now in sunny Hamburg. Last night watched, or so I thought, an amazing ballet opera in the theatre. 200 quids worth of cruise there. The ents team consists of professions opera singers, ballet dancers, pro Latin dancers etc, so the resources to put on great shoes. Certainly beats Cunard pando and everyone else. Sets and costumes very expensive. Well done MSc | pierre oreilly

05/11/2022 09:38 | MSC, not MCs. | pierre oreilly
05/11/2022 09:38 | After last night, I now know any CCL brand has absolutely nothing to worry about re competition from MCs. The Virtuosa is a magnificent boat, glitzy, sparkling and last night's show was up there with the best. But, this is cheap and a very budget offering. Last night I had ribeye, rate. Except it wasn't ribeye and was microwaved, and inedible. Not unpleasant tasting, but inedible due to being full of connective tissue all the was through. All tables around us complained it couldn't be eaten. I chewed a bit, then chewed more, then had to go it out. No offerings of something else!. Also Creaking in cabin all night, I think it's a design flaw in these ships built like tuning forks. | pierre oreilly
04/11/2022 13:37 | 2.5k on board compared to 7k last week! We had to battle through streams of kids leaving - they simply mix up those leaving and those arriving, mild chaos.Do you want me to enquire whether they need a washer up trader? Be well below the min wage, and 100h per week with no days off for nine months. | pierre oreilly
04/11/2022 13:18 | Greetings from the Virtuosa. Very hot and sunny in Southampton. Just tried the mozzarella - great. Pizzas for 1st lunch, great, and we usually avoid them while cruising. Scored a free speciality rest meal since they gave my Mrs diamond, top tier, yet not me! 1st impressions, incredible, and so very cheap. | pierre oreilly
