31/10/2022 23:14 | Just to dispel any myths which Junkie and Sam have, cruises are available to all these days, they are (or can be) cheap holidays. Just google any cruise and you'll see all types of people on them. They are accessible to all. We spend less in a year, fares plus spending, than many spend on a single decent hotel holiday. Hence why there's no problem filling the new 6000 pax ships. Largely, as junk and sam illustrate, still the little known luxurious cheap holiday bargain. (They can be very expensive too). | pierre oreilly
31/10/2022 20:17 | Junk, I'm not here to prove anything at all. Anyhow, got to start printing boarding tickets for Friday. Quite a wild ship apparently. I've bid for Yacht club, which is the premium offering - you know, caviar, lobster, best steaks all on demand, anytime, as well as champagne and any other drink, reserved seats at all the shows, escorted past any queues - not the sort of thing I'd usually cough up for (it is really expensive), but you can bid, and if it's the highest I may get it. I'll post a pic if I get it. (btw, caviar isn't mentioned if you google it, you just have to know and ask). Anyhow, enjoy your beans, | pierre oreilly
31/10/2022 20:07 | I wouldn't idolise me sam - I'm just a pretty normal guy. Such a shame you're not. | pierre oreilly
31/10/2022 20:06 | panshanger1, Pierre Oreilly, Prove it. | tradejunkie2
31/10/2022 19:51 | No Sam, I don't think you'll believe something which is completely beyond your wildest dreams. Much as I didn't believe you when you posted on here a few months ago that after 3 months trading ccl, you had got yourself 3 'free' ccl shares, so about £18 profit for 3 months work. But you did actually bring me round to believe that in the end. | pierre oreilly
31/10/2022 19:45 | Pierre the master investor. Pierre Oreilly - 28 Jan 2022 - 11:29:33 - 3710 of 4943 Carnival - cruising higher - CCL I just bought some more - taking a 2 year view. Hit today due to fred olsen ship workers getting covid. btw, anyone who holds 100 shares gets extra spending money on p&o and cunard (and others in ccl). Pierre Oreilly - 28 Jan 2022 - 16:26:03 - 3715 of 4943 Carnival - cruising higher - CCL Grabbed a 2nd lot - now fully invested here. That last pint cost me quite a bit, I think it was 30p cheaper 20 mins ago when i thought i'd have some more. Oh well, just putting back in what i took out at 3x the price at the start of the pandemic, so not getting the absolute cheapest price doesn't really make much difference. The thing to remember is in normal times, cruises are phenomenally profitable, even after paying billions for new ships. Major ups and downs but generally up for a couple of years. Cheap for those who can look 2 years ahead. Price then about £13.25 price now £6.96 Not to mention ORPH now HVO which you brought at 5p and said you were still holding at about 20p after they went to 46p. Great investor. Sam | sambuca
31/10/2022 18:39 | Pans, you're lucky you could get to the future cruise desk, there were no appointments left on the queen mary, all slots booked after day 1. (note for traders, if you book on board, you usually get some extra benefits. hth). | pierre oreilly
31/10/2022 18:34 | QM a couple of weeks ago, On the Virtuosa on Friday. Qe for their pre-christmas cruise (which we've been on the last few years ex covid). Iona January. Lots do it, it's cheap and you can bathe in the sun while leaving the traders in the cold with their nose buried in their screen. The fact you find it unbelievable speaks loads. Try investing (which pays for all this) and not gambling. | pierre oreilly
31/10/2022 16:55 | I'm on the same cruise buddy lots of skanks around eh? | tradejunkie2

31/10/2022 08:50 | Not surprised sentiment is rising. The kid who's the CEO of p&o has just been telling us that aug was the highest month ever for bookings of 1st time cruisers. | pierre oreilly

27/10/2022 20:16 | One of the worst-hit publicly traded companies during the COVID-19 crisis was Carnival (NYSE:CCL). Symbolizing the poster child of the pandemic, Carnival and the wider cruise ship industry could do nothing more than wait for the normalization of mobility. To reach this point sooner, the Washington machinery implemented a series of fiscal and monetary stimulus programs. Unfortunately, it's these very efforts that now threaten to sink CCL stock. As a result, I am bearish. When the SARS-Cov-2 virus ceased to be the exclusive domain of the foreign and exotic and instead rapidly proliferated across the globe, | jan-mar
