still on about covid .... move on, it's old news and people just wanting to get on with life and holidays / cruising is back. Results coming up will show a near full return and could well see this around £10 again.

On my QE cruise didn't hear of one person having Covid and that was last April. I know 5 people at the golf club who all caught Covid within a week of each other. So, not sure of the point you are making

Love the optimism

Cashcow with low debt = PROFIT
Cashcow with hideous amounts of debt = serious drowning risk

Supposed to being seeing friends tonight who just got back from a family reunion Med cruise last Thursday. 4 couples on different flights from different countries. 2 (different couples) have Covid. 4 others have symptoms. Common factor? Same petri dish cruise ship. They are not impressed.

We are off to NY on the QM2 in November and its looking like a f'ing silly idea. Just upped the insurance cover to include cabin lockdown etc. Can't see us booking another cruise anytime soon.

We have always booked balcony cabins on P&O ships in the past, but for a recent trip the additional cost premium for a balcony was disproportionately high for some reason. So, we decided to give an inside cabin a try, and... it was absolutely fine! Made me realise just how little time I spend in my cabin versus being elsewhere on the ship. I will book balconies in future if the deal is reasonable, but I will now have zero hesitation in going "inside" if it makes financial sense to do so. Spend less on the cabin and more on Margaritas. Priorities adjusted!

mr, well that's pretty definitive - no jabs needed for Princess for most sailings (there was a requirement a few weeks ago - things change all the time). The fewer of these restrictions the better afaic.

time to buy again around £7 as it will then move up again to £8. wait for results and £10 could easily be reached. 14% SHORTS will close leading up.

Sounds like some of the chaps on here have been on most of the ships should be able to tell you how well they are doing?

Thats a bit of weak spin imv. Bolette is going into dry dock refit a few weeks before planned, probably partial due to the rivers it sails up being empty and maybe not selling all the cabins. Shows the problems of small ships and expensive fares. I couldn't find a decent price for the olsen cruise i wanted (dutch and french canals and rivers) - a good job since it looks like it would have been cancelled.

August 27, 2022

Fred Olsen Cruise Lines announced it had canceled 4 sailings aboard Bolette because of a lack of demand for the ship’s winter voyages. The UK-based company revealed the cancellations came after the voyages had not reached expected capacity levels at a time when fuel costs were higher.

mr, I've never suggested (I hope) that vacs weren't required for boarding ... it's the testing requirements which have been relaxed. The easy life for boarding is to be vacced for all lines afaiia.

If you're not vaxxed these days, I think (but not sure) that you can now board if you go through testing at the port.

I don't follow or know the details applying to the non-vaxxed because I'm fully vaxxed.
