15/6/2022 19:29 | Unfortunately at the moment the share price is completely linked to Wall Street, tonight is a glaring example of that. I'm not sure why we make a market in the UK, every day at 2.30 it mirrors the movement in America, crazy | ![]() jan-mar
15/6/2022 18:14 | well to put it mildly i missed the covid lows, the debt pile is pretty shocking, so trying to catch the bottom is not easy, but i think this is the best way to play this recession...cruising is this best business there is outside iphones | ![]() stansmith3

15/6/2022 17:20 | janlol i dont think its that bad, p&o are the worst cruise line though, most would agree with that i think, they are though without a doubt the best value cruise line and sail from Southampton which is why they get my money | ![]() stansmith3
15/6/2022 16:57 | Calm down people, cruising should be for everyone, get on the ship that floats your boat. Stay cool, just cruise and spend money | ![]() jan-mar
15/6/2022 16:50 | sardinethe buffet is not a restuarant, i think anyone who has not been on board a p&o ship during a formal gala night might be disappointed, elderly men struggling to fill out huge suits, women wearing whatever they please getting their picture taken at the stairs, pretentious garbage, thankfully party ships like iona and changing demographics will put an end to this nonsense | ![]() stansmith3
15/6/2022 16:20 | Stan> Formal dress is not required in the self service restaurants (buffet) or what has happened in the last five years with the creation of nightly themed restaurants in the buffet area. For example, American, Italian and far eastern evenings. I must admit that I enjoy dressing up and sinking a few gin and tonics before dinner, and even entertaining the next cabin or recently made friends in our cabin. The answer is you stick with Princess and I will stick with P&O, which I have done for the last twenty five years. You also cannot knock the P&O Gala nights the lobster has always been fantastic...S | ![]() sardine2
15/6/2022 14:38 | pierre,ok - just thar you were doing a good sell for it, but i do remember you being very cool on it - i think it is a fabulous deal IF you normally get the wifi and pay the tips.... i cant be bothered with the formal nights on p&o and the sooner they get rid of them the better, i would happily go to the speciality restaurants on those nights casually dressed - but this seems be beyond their marketing depts, incidentally princess do allow that | ![]() stansmith3
15/6/2022 14:08 | Not sure what your point is stan. The £30 per day drinks isn't for me, but it's great for ccl. Not sure what you mean 'dismissive' - it's simply an offer, take it or leave it. The more that take it the better, but I won't (and didn't). Great marketing though and the more who think spending £720 (less tips) on booze over 12 days is great value (as most do!) the better! (assuming 2 per cabin, who both have to take the package). But many thanks for buying the package and spreading the word - all helps to keep cruise prices low. Bit of a culture shock at times - some of the small minority 20 something morbidly obese americans turning up to the restaurants in old t shirts and shorts - I'm all for informality and live and let live, but that just seemed odd to me, especially as many brits dressed up a bit, even on non-formal nights. Maybe we were just unlucky in that experience. | pierre oreilly
