24/6/2022 10:09 | Looking forward to my cruise on Iona tomorrow, no Covid test a bonus too.The airports may be blocked, the railways on strike but no problems on the seas. | ballymoss18
24/6/2022 10:08 | Blimey, no point them putting a statement out,pierre knows it anyway!🤣 | the codger
24/6/2022 10:00 | The results will be for the period when not many of the fleet were sailing at low occupancy levels. So a step in the right direction from the half bill loss per month when they didn't sail at all.The price will reflect expectations of the profit 2 years out, and all we need is a decent step towards a high profit then. So 3 billion loss? Cash flow will be no problem due to the Saudi stake and the Saudi support. Kitchen sinker with write offs of older ships and the new ships bought. It's about the future, not the recent past. | pierre oreilly
24/6/2022 09:50 | I don’t think the results will be a surprise. | smurfy2001

23/6/2022 16:08 | No need for car parking in Southampton lolIt never ceases to amaze me that in times of supposed hardship, people still want to go on holiday. Looking forward to see what the company has to say. I'm also waiting for the day that all the brokers who have this as a hold turn to a buy, we won't get to hear that until their clients have filled their boots | jan-mar
23/6/2022 15:55 | good point jan-mar. We seem to be a split nation between 'cost of living crisis', strikes everywhere and cash to burn after 2 years of lookup. A very confusing mix. Rail strikes may be a minor problematic issue. Do you want to park a car up for weeks whilst on a cruise? Teachers, legal profession, bus drivers, rolls royce are all threatening strikes. | ekuuleus
23/6/2022 15:41 | You could be right, who knows. Everywhere I look I see people spending money, coffee shops heaving with people. For over 2 years all we could do is save money. Staycation is getting too expensive, flying has become a nightmare, I know people who have never cruised booking one now. I assume taking on other cruise lines ships will mean using carnival admin and marketing cutting overall costs in the industry. We need ti see occupancy rates back to pre pandemic days and revenue to match. | jan-mar
23/6/2022 15:33 | turvart - good luck. the codger - novice? I suggest you learn to read a balance sheet. pierre - great idea on taking a cruise. other - have you even considered the impact of oil costs? Peoples cost of living and disposable income? Interest rate hikes - is the debt variable rate? I hold my hand up here. I'll have to start looking up the annual reports. 2018 to 2021 long term creditors: 8,753.00 20.64% 10,565.00 23.45% 24,352.00 45.44% 30,792.00 57.72% m So debt has increased £20B. Therefor you should not be surprised that, all other items being equal, which is not the case, you would expect the market value to decrease £20B purely on the increase in debt. Novice codger, you can read up a little here : When it comes to valuing the company, you need to add debt to market value. I might have a more in depth look as someone asked. Not today though. The balance sheet, of it's own, looked pretty bad, but if it goes to £3, it might be handy to be on top of the exact numbers. | ekuuleus
23/6/2022 13:23 | Me too Europe -Enchanted Princess out of Southampton Really is some great deals around | panshanger1
22/6/2022 15:15 | Just bought a cruise from Azamarra - half price. Always go to the line direct - best offers - just like hotels and airlines - all you need is t'internet. | toffeeman
22/6/2022 10:42 | No, I use anyone at all. The offers the lines give often seem to be limited to one agent for a limited time and a limited number of rooms. If I find a cruise I like, I Google the cruise number and see if one agent is quite a bit cheaper than the rest and use them if so. You can sometimes negotiate down from there too of it's a longer cruise. | pierre oreilly
22/6/2022 09:35 | Thanks Pierre good idea !!Do you use cruise.co.uk for all your bookings | panshanger1
22/6/2022 09:14 | Easy solution to the CCL share price. Go on a 4 week cruise, buy the drinks package, don't buy the internet package. A month of bliss. No one else taking advantage of the dirt cheap QM2 mini cruise? Balconies all gone, 4 insides left after we got one. 14 Oct. It's a special with cruise.co.uk. | pierre oreilly
22/6/2022 08:47 | Turning to Wall Street, CCL stock maintains a Hold consensus rating. Out of 12 total analyst ratings, two Buys, six Holds, and four Sell ratings were assigned over the past three months. At some time the six holds have to make a decision, abandon ship or buy, let's see if any change after Friday | jan-mar
