08/6/2022 18:48 | See posts on here. 23% of company changed hands yesterday. Big short position also. I know I kept being told I was wrong when price was below £2 but there you go. Patience pays off. | nigelpm
08/6/2022 18:10 | Is todays rise BOA note or something else? Getting ready to get out of this dreadfully run company if nothing becomes apparent over next day or so | adg

08/6/2022 11:04 | BANK OF AMERICA RAISES CAPRICORN ENERGY PRICE TARGET TO 335 (300) PENCE - 'BUY' | silverstone1
08/6/2022 10:39 | My guess - no bid but the trades yesterday were a blocking tactic to probably sweeten the TLW deal - perhaps to 4.5 or 5x TLW shares. Suspect overall the city likes the deal but not at current price. | nigelpm
08/6/2022 10:27 | Agreed - absolutely shocking thing to do - why on earth would you short a company with a large % of its market cap in cash - these mugs are really stupid at times. | nigelpm
08/6/2022 10:18 | Whichever company took a short position they need to have a word with themselves regardless of last weeks news that felt like a really bad call with the cash buffer, go short something that is already almost toast! My view is counter offer here all cash 265p. Cheers | finkie
08/6/2022 08:48 | A FOOT IS AT THE BOTTOM OF A LEG, BUT SERIOUSLY, THE COUNTER OFFER(S) WILL BE ABOVE 250P! | silverstone1
08/6/2022 08:40 | Read all the messages from yesterday :) | nigelpm
08/6/2022 08:38 | What's afoot? Suet | suetballs
08/6/2022 08:20 | Of course you did ;-) | nigelpm
07/6/2022 23:37 | I BOUGHT A 7 FIGURE SUM AT 125P 10 MONTHS AGO AND ALWAYS MORE THAN DOUBLE MY MONEY WITHIN 12 MONTHS! | silverstone1
07/6/2022 23:18 | It's seems announcing a merger is cheaper than doing a buy back..SILVERSTONE.EG | officerdigby
07/6/2022 22:33 | Only just noticed the volume today also - 75m! wow! | nigelpm
07/6/2022 21:14 | Thread on twitter making the very same points I did this morning. Gut feel says it's in play now although I'm not sure there's much more than 40p ish of value really. Once cash is returned remaining assets are a bit meh as log notes. | nigelpm
07/6/2022 11:27 | 2.14, this kind of progress we can get behind. Wonder why the increase? The buyback program or merger news or something we dont know about? | tron22
07/6/2022 10:58 | Exactamente. | dunderheed
07/6/2022 10:47 | CNE strength is all about the hope of a better offer. I'm not convinced one is coming though so I'll stay away still. I think Egypt is a bit meh? and the rest is not worth going after. | loglorry1
07/6/2022 10:44 | That obvious or just a (self perpetuated) red herring? | dunderheed
07/6/2022 10:42 | Who?..... "The KL Event Driven UCITS Fund invests primarily in global merger arbitrage and equity event transactions. KL Event Driven UCITS Fund is a sub-fund of KL UCITS ICAV." Only joking...... but probably operate out of Starbucks, Knightsbridge Green?! | xxnjr
07/6/2022 09:39 | Yes - it's an interesting situation. Something similar lining up at SQZ also I'd suggest - £400m of cash with market cap of £700m. Our friend emptyend made a really good point recently that there was simply little point in many of these companies being listed on the markets - I think he makes a reasonable argument - they are simply not being sensibly valued. I do like these situations though - provides a level of safety when investing. | nigelpm
07/6/2022 09:35 | I know Nigel - you have been "banging on" about it - but their strategy did not seem to be working ie the purchase of shares? Also it "seemed" to give an impression they didn't have a clue what else to do with it - plus I've never been impressed with the Egypt acquisition personally? However currently traded at a premium which (possibly) implies someone else interested? IMHO. | dunderheed
07/6/2022 09:27 | It's funny how I'd been banging on about "balance sheet investment" for months but the catalyst it needs to get people to sit up and listen is the very threat of spending the cash pile. Perhaps that was CNE mgmt's strategy - to do something bold and see what happened? | nigelpm |
