09/7/2015 07:50 | I reckon BPTY share price will drop into the 70ish range without any bid premium. It just happens when companies put the for sale sign up and fail to get a deal done. Lets not forget BPTY is in decline, piker is ex growth and the sportsbook and Bingo have been mismanaged. A great short if it looks like getting rejected but I don't think that will be the case. Holders have a chance of getting paid in GVC shares are getting in on the ride. I took GVC shares when they bought Sportingbet. The shareprice has nearly doubled since and I've had another £1+ in dividends since. DYOR as ever but GVC paper will be highly attractive if this proceeds due to the synergies that exist between the Sportsbooks (I'm assuming Amaya take the Poker business) | brownie69
09/7/2015 07:38 | RNS Number : 5873S (It's an offical offer now!) GVC Holdings PLC 09 July 2015 Offer discussions with bwin.party digital entertainment plc ("bwin.party") GVC notes today's announcement made by bwin.party and confirms that it has made a proposal to acquire all of the outstanding and to be issued share capital of bwin.party at a price of 110 pence per bwin.party share, comprised of a combination of new GVC shares and cash. GVC looks forward to working with bwin.party and its advisers with a view to securing acceptance of its proposal and, in turn, making an offer to bwin.party shareholders. | gotnorolex

09/7/2015 07:21 | When can we expect 888 to show their cards? | jamesjoel
09/7/2015 07:11 | I fully expect a "no thanks" rns at 9am from Nobby. | stephen1946
09/7/2015 07:04 | RNS update and confirming 1.10 offer. | whiskeyinthejar
09/7/2015 06:49 | The Times has GVC leading 888 in the race to acquire bpty. At £1.10 I am quite happy to say, "no thanks" | stephen1946
08/7/2015 20:58 | hubshank, don't think that would be a sale price more an ongoing business price. | stephen1946
08/7/2015 20:27 | Alpha and Camcord have target price of £1.15 for BPTY - interesting (or not) | hubshank
08/7/2015 20:25 | hubshank, gotno, no hype, Baazov has stated several times that big deals will always be accompanied by the Nasdaq bell. In this case I think the poster is guessing. The next big move for Amaya is going to be a DFS purchase, daily fantasy sports are massive worldwide. | stephen1946

08/7/2015 18:16 | Maybe the Fed are going to regulate. The poster may of course just be a hype master...... | hubshank
08/7/2015 18:13 | Nearly 6m shares in BPTY traded today. 765k of 888, with even less in GVC. | hubshank
08/7/2015 17:21 | There is a rocket-ship lift-off about to occur and they are the only ones who know why. When Baazov stated that the Nasdaq bell would be rung in coordination with a "corporate development" announcement, that's a critical distinction from "business development". I would categorize landing a US state for PokerStars or launching a DFS product in the next two months (to make that NFL start he said they would) as "business development", whereas a takeover, investment or merger would land in the "corporate development" bucket. Stay tuned...something big is about to be announced and the strength of the stock in the chaos around us indicates that to me. But remember, I'm no analyst and I'm not recommending the stock (so says my lawyer friends I need to say often :)... | gotnorolex

08/7/2015 12:07 | After the press articles yesterday, my expectation was/is that Bwin would be TOLD to make a statement. | spob
08/7/2015 11:59 | tempting to take another long spreadbet at the current price | trentendboy
08/7/2015 11:58 | logan, I wonder if this is their entry bid rather than their final offer. | hubshank
08/7/2015 11:56 | BPTY are not known for their forthcoming communication, although this time they have a legal obligation. Gotno... like for like, would mean synergies better with 888 imho. | hubshank
08/7/2015 11:56 | Remember months ago when the papers were reporting an offer in the region of 130p to 140p for Bwin from GVC | loganair
08/7/2015 11:55 | Norbert can go take a running jump! Grrrr Rant over, I am sure they have done what they believe to the be the right thing over the years, however once the WTO ruled the US had no right to block it, then BPTY should have done something about it. | hubshank |
