29/6/2015 10:38 | There was a big dump of Emerald Bay shares was it last week or week before and everyone was questioning why? Subsequently it has been reported that a new Bill to legislate online has been introduced at Fed level. These two events have only happened within a week or so of each other! BPTY will continually be lobbying the Fed and any other political party / body they need to. I experienced this when NICE came about, you just have to keep lobbying and working with to a mutually satisfactory conclusion. And then all the way over the other side of the world..... China is opening, and this has been confirmed by a series of licenses being granted, some of which whilst BPTY still in ownership of WPT. (The sale to Ourgame may of course have been a condition). The PRC are not going to close down BPTY whilst they are sponsoring the government approved WPT, there would be a major revolt. So, on a day to day basis, we just sit and wait. Whoever posted patience is rewarded, you are indeed correct. Just hurry up! | hubshank
29/6/2015 10:29 | Can you imagine what it would have been like if we were active in Greece (beyond existing grey market customers) | hubshank

29/6/2015 08:16 | Now bpty will be on the shopping list for bidders, surely?? | stephen1946
28/6/2015 22:35 | Agree blackrock and the Trojan horse is rumoured to be, Angela Merkel, how many greek soldiers could hide in her???. | stephen1946
28/6/2015 21:21 | A conspiracy theory has emerged that the Greek tragedy is being instigated to hold the valuation of : bpty,amaya,888,gvc so all these companies will save their valuation whereas the rest of the market will plunge . | blackrocktrader
28/6/2015 20:12 | However good any news is tomorrow for any company nobody will be buying anything. (Not really a pessimist) | rbcrbc

28/6/2015 13:39 | I think I (and most) BPTY shareholders have been more than patient..! Announcement of negotiations have been at least since Sept/Oct last year. It makes one wonders if there really are any serious bids. | tines
28/6/2015 13:17 | There is no reason to be impatient : deal done good for bpty, Amaya, 888,gvc ; no deal back to square one . | blackrocktrader
28/6/2015 08:39 | Warren Buffett once said "The stock market is a device for transferring money from the impatient to the patient". | gotnorolex
28/6/2015 04:54 | the timescale is ridiculous, no explanation from any of the parties, yes I agree, this share has become toxic. | stephen1946
27/6/2015 22:19 | But why is it taking so long? I am still in but buying BPTY should come with a health warning..... | tines
27/6/2015 21:48 | Absolutely no chance of that, none at all. 888 need bpty more than breath itself. Amaya are terrified that 888 might be successful, the debt mountain they have would lead to 888 gaining ground on the world stage if 888 succeed. Norbert has publically stated, he wants, out. | stephen1946
27/6/2015 21:24 | Same nonsense - week by week. This time time next week, Rodney. Teufelburger & the BOD are going to go it alone, IMO. As I've said from the start. | eeza
27/6/2015 20:30 | Looking at the tactics that both bidders can adopt, it would appear Amaya are at a distinct disadvantage from the point of daily contact with the target, bpty. There is no significant majority holder that could give either bidder a clear advantage should the bidder buy that holding. the bidders have got to buy such a holding via the market and currently both bidders are not buying any significant amounts. Whichever bidder is named, preferred bidder is irrelevant really unless that party has enough shares under their belt to prevent a credible counter offer, Amaya and 888 are playing a waiting game which in one of the cases will prove costly. I believe one of the bidders will enter the market this week and start to build a large stake, and its not certain to be the preferred bidder(whoever that is). The stake buying scenario cant be far away and I can see £1.40 being reached very quickly, now that figure will prompt the amateur accountants to protest, "how can a loss making dog like bpty be worth £1.40?" The answer? if you want me, you have to pay, or leave the party. When the buying starts it will lead to a feeding frenzy, and if it looks cheap enough maybe somebody else will get involved. Permira have been much to quiet, I think they will have a role to play before this Saga is over. | stephen1946
27/6/2015 08:48 | Online gambling is proving to be a good bet for savvy investors. "Just in case you haven’t noticed, there has been a flurry of online gaming companies popping up in Canada, quickly vaulting the country into second place in terms of industry market cap behind the United Kingdom, where several TSX-listed names happen to do most of their business". | gotnorolex
26/6/2015 22:53 | The RNS today for 888 mentions Bwinparty , there must be a connection for them both to mention each other . | frankiethecabbie |
