Burford Capital Share Discussion Threads

MW will probably be working through the Burford response trying to pick holes in it. There were a couple of related twitter posts yesterday but nothing much.

Once Burford stated they saw market manipulation MW will have to be very careful. I’m sure they will not retract their comments but I’m also sure this is what Burford will be angling for.

Probably lots we don’t know about going on in the background.

I think not. I'm not here for dividends, in fact I wish they wouldn't bother. There are better dividend players out there on more predictable and regular real cash income.

In my opinion it's simple... investors either believe the company and its directors...or mw ..I have read everything now ...all reports and research ..and mw report..( alot of waffle but cleverly composed) ..I believe the company is honest and they were an easy target to bear raid .... obviously..!!..seen this before..so ..they on a conservative valuation should be 1200 or more ..time will heal this .. patience is needed..

@ EdmondJ (#8505, sorry agaes ago!) - you said you were 'ridiculed' when you raised concerns here a year or so ago.

From memory, no you weren't. It's certainly not my style, though others may have been less inhibited. A robust discussion took place, largely based on fact and, since this BB was predominantly bullish, it was many-on-one.

The same discussion is taking place right now, but much more is at stake.

I imagine that Burford May have dropped MW a line suggesting that unless they back off a Burford will go after them.

The response from Burford was excellent and necessarily kept only to rebutting MW’s criticism.
