bbm are you TW in disguise?

At least your blatant attempt to protect your short on Burford has diverted you away from your obsessive and unwarranted attack on versarien for a while, try being a little positive and considerate to others for a change rather than the negative persona you portray

truthteller, you clearly have a spat with jonwig. Take it elsewhere. I've been in BUR almost since day one and have made a fortune to date after bailing out at over 10 quid a share. Not because I believe MW but because I believe short sellers are hard to beat short term.

Based on listening to the 2 hr concall and reading rebuttal I will buy back in when dust settles. The short seller's typical MO is clearly demonstrated by the recent misleading headlines by shareprophets today, irrespective of the merits of MW report, as I said a few posts above.

The lies always gets half way round the world before the truth gets its boots on.

Keep an eye on the IR section of the website; if it's going to appear anywhere in due course, it'll be there.

Anyone know where the audio of the conference call can be viewed/listened to online? I’m abroad and would prefer not to dial back to the UK for 2 hours to listen to it! I believe that these are sometimes available to be streamed online (via WiFi)

Cheers

Notable for its absence amongst the many posts above is any recent contribution by the mouthy jonwig. Normally he is ready with a judicious copy and paste to defend to the death any of the shares he is ramping.

BUR, by his own admission (boast), is jonwig's largest investment and he has been boasting on another thread that he has been selling and is indeed doing so well that he has accrued CAPITAL GAINS. Erm : scarcely believe !

What is he saying now to his most faithful disciples like djderry and winsome who stuck to his every word and appear to have lost tens of thousands of pounds?

Nerdofsteel, there you are!

Not going by DaveyCafeRacer these days? Ask Nerd about his experience with ShareProphets & Quindell. He was a QPP zealot & cult member who lost all his money there, refusing to believe there was anything iffy with the company or Rob Terry.

Are you wiser now Nerd?

nope It's a short attack. They short. They instill lack of confidence into investors and ride on fear. Self fulfilling prophecy.

TW is best known for calling out dogs and frauds - Like Quindell. Nerd, I seem to recall you were one of the "believers" in that complete fraud.

Burford Capital – a screaming short?

By Nigel Somerville, the Deputy Sheriff of AIM | Thursday 2 May 2019

I have been receiving a few comments and concerns from a number of sources regarding AIM-listed Burford Capital (BUR) – a player in the highly lucrative litigation funding space, and a major part of Neil Woodford’s investment empire. If those concerns prove to be correct then Burford Capital is massively overvalued, based on hocus-pocus accounting and is an accident waiting to happen...

What's the short interest in the stock - is this not a loss of confidence in long standing shareholders rather than a short attack

Not really followed shareprophets before but looking at their headlines today they are as sensationalist as MW:

1. IMF Bentham has NOT slated BUR's accounting practice. They have merely stated how they do things their way.

2. 'FRC asked to investigate Burford' - only by the writer of the same article LOL!

3. shareprophets claimed they've been warning about BUR for months. Yet only 1 cautious article by Nigel Sommerville and a further article by a top accountant commissioned by shareprophets who basically said there were no real concerns.

Talk about jumping on the bandwagon! But I guess it keeps subscriptions ticking along from those with the memories of a goldfish. TW I believe has exposed a lot of dodgy companies but also seems to love the sound of his own voice.

Does he ever provide Buy tips and how successful are they?

MW have a cash incentive to make the share price fall. That’s their agenda, it’s what they do. Why they should be treated as the font of all knowledge beats me. They’re in it for the money.
