It's this sector at this moment of time is the issue. Paul S on his smaller company analysis highlighted two concerns 1. It's owned by a majority shareholder 2. The outstanding court case. With netnet stocks there's a trust issue after Studio Retail what happened there was a disgrace. It basically needs more institutions investing in the business and clarity on the court case. It's a waiting game right now

"I'll keep adding on weakness here."

Come now old chap, you must try to remain resilient! Stiff upper lip! That's the spirit!

These went down from 55-60p on uncertainty with the court case but that's been ring fenced now with decent trading with positive guidance. It just needs a revised broker note and some positive sounds on getting close to a settlement. With that these should double up from here and still be good value

Not a sector I'm usually keen on, but I've made some money on BWNG in the past (5+ years ago) and the shares are trading at 1/10th of the price I sold at back then, so I've been adding a few at current levels on that decent RNS. Also been some very interesting holdings increase RNS over the last 12 months and last but not least the possibility of dividends being reinstated.

N Brown (BWNG) reported on Wednesday last. And very good results they were. It has come right through lockdown and is clearly on an upward trend. Tangible net asset value of at least double the current share price of 32p is far more attractive than anything offered by, say, BooHoo (BOO) and the directors have announced that a dividend will be considered next year. That seems very cautious to me.

But BWNG is controlled by an alliance of Alliances and is therefore bid proof. So faites vos jeux.

The way around that happening here is if the Alliance family that own about 56% spread across family members to under 50%. So they're not majority shareholders, sell a chunk to Hargreaves or Schroder's

This sector though there's a lot of investors staying away even though these are seriously cheap. The concerns are around the debacle around STU where PIs got shafted, the company has a large single shareholder with a majority stake, in STU case they took it private after auditors discovered some accounting cover up. Investors are suspicious of this business model after what happened there
