BIFFA is well diversified in all cases.
80,000 customers in industrial, commercial and municipal sectors.
A good long term hold and a good opportunity to own cheaper
as it has just started in the market.

To beaudelaire,

Just to remind you that BIFFA mainly deal with industrial waste. So any economic downturn has potential to unnerve the share price. But it seems to be expanding its business to local councils which are more and more outsourcing the waste management through PFI. So it's worth holding. It's overweight in my portfolio at the moment. Let's just hope we have some fantastic news on 6th November.

I dipped in today as this looks as a very defensive stock to hold.
It hasn't been too much publicised yet and many are not aware of its strength
and business continuity which is insensitive to any economic factors.
It only cleans the land and the towns !

Reason for the rise is probably a good write-up in today`s Shares magazine. I look forward to news on 6th Dec to consolidate gains and improve market confidence and sentiment towards this sector.

Like to think all their vehicles etc are 05/06

Good full page write-up on the waste industry in yesterdays Telegraph which was very positive on the reclycling of waste and mentions Biffa as a potential target.
