So the note and their forecast for £5.9 mill

42 games by December 2019,

The note was Sept 2018 the admission time.

In the admission doc impressions for FM were shown as 25 mill per day. The trading update said 1 mill per day for Asia (4.5 bill of the population)

The note

We have built our revenue forecast around the following four variables:
(a) Number of titles and available in-game advertising inventory (b) Percentage of inventory sold to paying customers
(c) Numberofimpressions
(d) Advertising rates/cost per mille (CPM).

So the note has based its forecast on 42 games this year and the example of 25 mill impressions per day re FM.

If correct then they are going to miss revenue by a considerable margin the actual numbers are way apart.

At some point they will have to update the market imo.

Forecasts of that type are fiction and highly damaging to companies that go off on flyers re the share price It just sets up a big fail and mistrust to come. Punters gear in the excitement and the share price collapses as a result.

It could keep climbing and climbing who but reality on the figures will kick in at come point at some point re that forecast and then it will have a crash.

Number of online players isn't the only metric - you also need to take into account the "offline" players who are playing a single player mode but are still connected to the internet and will receive BIDS platform content.

A better estimate would be based on game sales, minus a % of those who are not connected to the Internet during gameplay.

Thinking ahead to a time when a publisher like Rockstar puts APIs in the next GTA release.

Any open world game such as that will drive huge revenue.

Apologies

Dirt 2 doesn't start in Feb the annual report says towards the end of Q2. So probably nothing from Dirt 2 in H1. Not that it would be much looking at the number of players.

Bidstack has announced it has appointed Derek Wise as a Non-Executive Director. Derek is a highly experienced software technologist who was previously the Chief Technology Officer of Grapeshot. At the firm, David took over software development, product, support and operations globally to reorganize and grow the group. Within 12 months of him joining, Grapeshot’s revenues grew by 160pc and the team expanded from 120 to over 250 personnel. Bidstack highlights that David was responsible for pitching Grapeshot to Oracle who subsequently acquired Grapeshot in August 2018 for an estimated $400m.

Clear visible revenue growth is essential if Bidstack is to swiftly justify and build on its current valuation and this appointment certainly appears to be targeting that goal.

James Draper, CEO of Bidstack, commented, “Given the attractiveness of our technical offering we have been looking to add a Board member who has had experience of building and scaling borderless enterprise technology which has then been acquired by a major Silicon Valley player.

“Derek’s technical background at the highest level of gaming, coupled with his intimate knowledge of the contextual understanding of data, is a perfect blend for us and his work as CTO of Grapeshot eventually led to the its acquisition by Oracle.

“Derek has already been a fantastic sounding wall for our management team and I’m sure that his insight will help Bidstack to accelerate our growth further over the coming years.”

'Bidstack Group (LSE:BIDS) has been one of the darlings of AIM so far this year, enjoying a meteoric rise from around 4.5p in January to an intraday high of 42p last month. And it’s no wonder why; blending unobtrusive adverts into video games is set to revolutionise the gaming industry.'

Mcfly why Q4

The Grid game was announced a while back and is for launch in Q4. Anything announced now is likely to be for future launches and unlikely to feature much for H2.

I'm just working on what the city does on missed revenue.

How does £300 convert to £5.9 mill. The bast game by far was on their books for 6 months last year.

30 staff forecast in the note is already 45 and climbing I understand.

Any news of forecast missed and the MMs trash shares that have had steep rise. Steppingstones rising shares tend to equate to the herd stacked up well over-grade spread betting.

Just my view of course after 10 years of intense watching this type of thing play out over and over again.

If they had the games in the bag for this year up and running then yes they could hit it.

Figures from last year and a minuscule conversion of things in play re the admission doc means they are going to miss by a mile imo.

EG back to that point.

How does 25 million impressions worldwide per day on the sales pitch just a few months previously equate to 1 mill per day for 4.5 bill of the population.

Surely the 25 mill must have been fiction.

I think the BIDS narrative has held up well without twitter ramps and JD has learnt.
It needs to stand up on it's merit.
The China thing is so interesting.

FFS, superG. Why do we have to keep correcting you on your complete and utter uneducated nonsense.
We e already pointed out quite clearly that BIDS has not stated that H1 will not be met. They stated that they were on target to meet both H1 and H2 if not exceed.

Absolutely not right now I think on revenue forecast it's a disaster waiting to happen on the share price with the herd no doubt geared to death as normal.

For the figures posters with 2019 revenue available nothing has materially changed on the rune front.

The H1 warning is very clear and significantly 2nd half weighted more marked than previously.

I'm now going on under £1 mill based on the figures out there available.

So how do they have £5 mill revenue for H2.

At this rate imo if in keeps climbing and they keep pumping it then there fall (if I'm right) will be much sharper.

Bids have not replied as yet. Nomad says that line in the RNS re the H1 revenue is pretty clear to them. So I asked what it meant in their opinion and they wouldn't say.

I said "Hang on its public, you checked and released it, what does that sentence mean lower first half forecast or higher". The guy is named on the RNS.

So far it's been no comment, I'm due to get a call from them, I won't hold my breath.

Stage 2 is the compliance team when they don't return the call.

I'll get the answer one way or another.

For me it absolutely means H1 revenue forecast is down, how much down is a guess at this time, but with £300k as a fact for 2018. £1.9 mill seems pie in the sky.

As for 2nd half weighted the contracts are not there yet so that imo is just a deflection comment distancing any need to comment early on re H2.

They may well hit full year but the fact is things in the admission document and have considerably different numbers in them to reality.

Superg, you need to add in the value of the impressions gained to advertisers, now able to be tracked and recognised as an new advertising standard. The software allows ads to be targeted and geolocated so the overall numbers are less important than what companies are willing to pay to get their message to a particular group. A few weeks back we had Subway increasing their sales at a local outlet following a trial ad campaign with bids software. They weren't interested in millions of viewers just the few hundred who might be hungry and lived in delivery range of a subway. That kind of targeting is valuable and expensive. That is where the money will come from. Different ads at the same time to a range of different people depending where they live. And all imbedded in the background of the game so as not to be annoying or look like they are targeting you. all the spaces in the games can be sold multiple times.

superg,

I agree that with the current games they have announced, and based on the current way they are selling ads, they would not make the full year forecast.

For me it's all about the step change in the business in Q4.

Need to dash now but I'll don't think the admission document was misleading - I'll try and post in a bit.

An exciting time for Bidstack.

China has recently built a stadium that was the equivalent of what was it 16 football pitches in size?
