BG Group PLC (BG.:LSE): Last: 1,148, up 3.1 (+0.27%), High: 1,154, Low: 1,141, Volume: 2.21m CG universal template for every speculative buyout story ever BE Precisely. BE There is some logic that an oil major can access funding cheaper than an oil minor such as Tullow or BG, so a deal makes some kind of sense. 23/1/2013 13:35 | Interesting with all this bid stuff about. 23 Jan 2013 READING, UK--British oil and gas giant BG Group has ended a lengthy relationship with Maitland and shifted its financial PR account to Brunswick. The company has worked with Maitland since it was launched in 1997, when British Gas divested Centrica to become BG Group. Grappling with an eroding market value that has seen it tagged as a takeover target, BG Group began a review of its financial PR relationship last year. According to external communications manager Mark Todd, it was a "tough decision" to cut ties with Maitland, following a final round pitch against Brunswick. | philanderer
23/1/2013 13:33 | I think it is listed guys, not a lot traded but it does move around a bit :-) BG Group plc (ADR)(PINK:BRGYY) | philanderer

22/1/2013 22:35 | Telegraph market report: "...However, BG Group was in demand. The shares climbed to the top of the FTSE 100 leaderboard after Bloomberg argued the oil and gas group is a takeover target following a significant decline in the company's share price over the past couple of years. "Jane Coffey, who manages £12bn as head of UK equities at Royal London Asset Management, told the newswire: "There is a big danger that some opportunistic big company will come along and get the assets very cheaply." BG Group gained 25½p to £11.45." | philanderer
22/1/2013 21:01 | volsung- I feel for you but I think it is always best to trust the chart which showed a DB in £10 area . Tweeeek said he had inside info but that is technically illegal although can never be policed . maybe he did but to be honest I was always sceptical . | arja
22/1/2013 20:13 | For those that understand this sort of thing... BG Group (BG.): Key Reversal Up Published by: zakmir on 22nd Jan 2013 | View all blogs by zakmir BG Group (BG.): Support Above Previous Resistance I have noted the possibility of BG Group bid speculation actually coming to pass here on Trader's Own before, something which could be regarded as all the more likely after the collapse for the share price on the 2013 production forecast. But of course it could just as well be that the company chooses to takeover another group in order to improve its position. As far as the latest technicals are concerned it would appear we are looking at a W shaped reversal pattern with support today coming above previous November / December at 1,091p. The view now is that while there is no end of day close back below the intraday low of today's key reversal up day at 1,103p the upside here should be towards the October 1,300p plus resistance zone once again. chart: | philanderer
