If it crosses 1085, it will go over 1100p very quickly and Shorts will start closing which will push it higher again. So the key is 1085 IMHO.

Well, BG. seems to be stuck here again at 1085p just as it was in december for numerous times :-)

Hi phil, aye RRS would have been a better choice, I'll pop one on that too. Got my last one on this one at 1090 but have a humungous short on this.

Morning Tweeeek , I keep banging on about it but you` be much better off shorting that crock of sh*te called Randgold. Down yet again this morning, that`s about 50 out of last 60 days heading south.

Rangebound 1000p - 1085p for the last 2 months.... may have to wait for those Q4 results and company statement in a couple of weeks to break out - up or down... unless something leaks beforehand of course ;-)

brought about a month ago thinking there would be a bounce but with take over etc but see not really. If make 7.5 to 10% then I think will sell as could be in for a interesting few months ahead with the US and issues in Europe etc. Its not as if it got a good divided but do agree has some interesting assets for the long term but need a lot of cap ex

Hi Phil, yup here we are again because of the bots driving this up for no reason whatsoever, another profit warning along with some expected bad news this will find itself falling faster than it has climbed.

It all rubbish, this is a gift, added to the shirts at 1076, more chance of a takeover by aliens from outer space than some of the companies touted.

FT Alphaville Speaking of oil .......... BE Can note in passing the Exclusive to All Newspapers story about BG BG Group PLC (BG.:LSE): Last: 1,077, up 3.62 (+0.34%), High: 1,086, Low: 1,067, Volume: 2.01m BE Petrobras, or Shell, or someone else. BE But, really, that looks like rubbish. BE Petrobras is selling at the moment, not buying. BE And BG's probably out of their price range. BE Valuation still looks punchy even after the profit warning. BE Everyone does like the "big oil mergers pending" theme though. PM hmm PM Believe it when it happens BE Yeah, it's all fantasy M&A at the moment. http://ftalphaville.ft.com/marketslive/2013-01-16/

Telegraph market report: "Oil and gas company BG Group put on 25½ to £10.73½, having risen 6pc since the start of the year. One dealer said the recent gains had encouraged a rehash of vague bid speculation over the past week that should be taken with a large pinch of salt." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/markets/9804352/ARM-shares-drop-on-broker-downgrades.html

I agree JP it looks like a double bottom but if you look closer and little bit more carefully you'll find its definitely not a double bottom.
