22/4/2021 11:08 | That's some intraday price action. And still 4 and half to go. | farnesbarnes
22/4/2021 08:41 | I was surprised by that too, grabster. How accurate the similarweb data is I have no idea, but you'd have to figure that website visits is a viable metric to provide at least a first guess as to how the company is faring. March's website traffic is roughly on a par with the traffic from six months ago. It is a popular view on this board that the growth in profits/revenue is set to continue - however, I'd be interested to know people's views on exactly where they think this growth is going to come from. | spann_703
22/4/2021 07:15 | Thanks for the link Jeff. It surprises me that less than 5% of BOTB website traffic is via social networks. | grabster
20/4/2021 19:14 | Oooof... 69 pixels off this weekend. | 3ootuk
16/4/2021 15:04 | Thank you Jeff At least each month when this is mentioned it will be easy for people to check. | shanklin
16/4/2021 11:48 | The link in the header for you now Martin. | jeff h
16/4/2021 06:31 | Jeff H, Perhaps worth putting in the header | shanklin
16/4/2021 01:20 | Best of the Best has already been chosen by one investor but you can always add your own pledge You can choose any company and any charity or simply match another investor and their pledge. I am hoping to get to £100k for lots of smaller deserving charities mainly but all donations much appreciated. Lets hope the markets stay positive and investors are generous. | davidosh
15/4/2021 21:11 | Thats great. Thanks a lot. | thelongandtheshortandthetall

15/4/2021 17:16 | website traffic not bad for march tbf as has arrested its decline | solooiler
14/4/2021 06:55 | Yeah thanks Peart, I like the comparisons 1, self funded, i.e. No debt no Bond holders to redeem, in fact the co as it currently is req less cap than it has so special divis are returned. Neg capex given there is a lag between prize announcement and delivery of car. The punters fund the business first. 2, 60-65% gross margins in recent sets of results, managing ticket prices well 3, Large growth runway, some conjecture on this but I think it is large enough 4, agree with you, as it grows it becomes harder to replicate [ successfully] 5, my favourite re Botb. Simple...and so many feedback loops. I urge peeps to read Nick Sleeps annual letters which are now on his foundation page, they are so revelatory. Easy to Google. | this tea tastes of chicken
14/4/2021 05:22 | Interesting TTToC. On point 4 we can see this happening with the prizes on offer. Dream car winner prize a year ago is similar to midweek winners now. This obviously, steadily over time, increases the barriers to entry for competition. I'm looking forward to the trading update, which we should receive in about 3 weeks if history repeats. | peart
13/4/2021 14:11 | On a more positive note, here's the mighty Nick Sleep on scaling laws for investors: In a nutshell 1) Business ought to be able to self fund 2) High returns on incremental invested capital 3) Large growth runway 4) Barriers to entry increase with size 5) The core skeletal structure of the business has to be simple Source: @_inpractise | this tea tastes of chicken
12/4/2021 17:46 | one can read the tea tastes of chicken leaves.. | this tea tastes of chicken
12/4/2021 14:42 | Shame finnCap did not estimate £1.50 EPS :-) | shanklin
12/4/2021 13:40 | I agree - see my post from 3.4.21. One can read the tea leaves and it's not unreasonable to suspect that this was the case. We'll never obviously know. | peart
12/4/2021 13:05 | TTTOC Could be right there.. All being well we'll get upgrades soon. | thelongandtheshortandthetall
12/4/2021 12:12 | That might explain how Finn Cap rolled out those cautious estimates. The plot thickens. | this tea tastes of chicken
12/4/2021 12:07 | Exactly. But not happy buy at higher PERs. He also states he's happy to hold way higher than x20 etc too. Only the beginning imo. | thelongandtheshortandthetall
12/4/2021 11:42 | LOL, I am 100% certain that MS is happy to hold and sell at P/E's higher than 20. | shanklin
12/4/2021 11:17 | I've just been watching a mark Slater interview. He states very clearly that never pay over 20x earnings. So my inclination is that the directors at botb reluctantly reduced their asking price to that level, exactly. Two times the half year 60p = 120p x PE of 20 gives £24. Imo the second half will be higher than 60p. Somewhere around 70-80p is my guess. Giving a total of 135p x a more realistic PE of 25 gives a target share price of £33.75 This is base case imo and only the beginning. 👍 | thelongandtheshortandthetall
08/4/2021 14:24 | Very nice Jeff!!! | thelongandtheshortandthetall
08/4/2021 14:02 | .....not half as pleased as my 20p ones!! | jeff h |
