31/3/2021 18:54 | So the Directors possibly couldn't get a good enough price to sell out completely, but there was strong demand so they've taken some money. Good luck to them, they've built a good company and deserve to be rewarded. Maybe the price was set as an average over a certain period. At least they still have major holdings. The institutions will have seen the numbers and future aspirations. | 3ootuk
31/3/2021 18:47 | Such a big spread! | yasyas1
31/3/2021 18:45 | Hi just subscribed to this on priimary bid | yasyas1
31/3/2021 17:52 | Doubled this calendar year is vg. PS has always said hard to get hold of in any quantity. How old are major holders? Think RSW. This might create more liquidity. Inclined to go for it. | bscuit

31/3/2021 17:18 | Better buy Finncap instead who have played a blinder... £1m for PI via Primary Bid through app only (why?) and, as of now, not able to link to ISA. | pob69
31/3/2021 17:14 | Issue ludicrously low forecasts, depress the share price, excessively discount a placing. Obviously all IMHO | shanklin
31/3/2021 17:11 | Completely agree. "...to satisfy strong institutional demand" = 16.08% discount | pob69
31/3/2021 17:06 | Blimey, amazed at that discount. Seems farcical | shanklin
30/3/2021 18:04 | This Easter weekend, just 20 cars and £100k cash - maybe trying to get more players looking at the higher end cars and hopefully reeling them in to a higher monthly spend. | 3ootuk
26/3/2021 17:28 | Yes, I agree with the view that if BOTB is underplaying expectations massively then Finncap may get disappointed with the relationship going forward, as they (Finncap) will come away looking somewhat unprofessional. However, I'm not sure though as to how these relationships work. Do Finncap create the estimates based upon general information provided by the business, or does the business provide the figures and Finncap simply publishes them as "the house broker"?? If Finncap have some responsibility at arriving at the numbers then they obviously only have themselves to blame if they are wildly out. | peart
26/3/2021 13:39 | Check out the variances between the FinnCap advice on how to attend and what the reality is ;-/ | this tea tastes of chicken
26/3/2021 13:27 | Re the roadshow - any info / how we sign up? | feverfan
26/3/2021 13:01 | I see FinnCap are holding a "Non Holder Roadshow" on Monday (29th March) | jeff h
26/3/2021 08:34 | Housemartin, that was exactly the point I was trying to make in my posts, agreed. | this tea tastes of chicken
26/3/2021 08:19 | I'm with you Housemartin2. Maybe the forecasted numbers will be proved to be about right and that 2021 year to 30.4.21 was just a massive surge year to then stabilise to something more normal. It's possible, or maybe management (if they've been involved in the numbers) are just being ultra cautious as they are not certain where they can take things, but are very confident in what Finncap, the house broker, have as suggested fwd eps as a minimum. I think it's certainly a bit odd, unless the 125p suggested eps for this year materialises which would imply a slow down in the massive growth experienced after the 1st half eps of 60p. We'll all have to wait and see! I would suggest though, that if the 125p eps is blasted away as myself and others on this panel have suggested, then what is the point of Finncap forecasts as they will be proved to be very unreliable. | peart
26/3/2021 07:57 | If they have fed these pedestrian (by comparison) numbers to Fincap but are going to beat them by a lot, then does this not put a strain on their relationship with Fincap ? Are they not their house broker ? | housemartin2
25/3/2021 07:39 | I do strongly suspect that 125p for this year is going to get blown out of the water. I feel that management are generally trying to do the under promise and then over deliver routine to get investors excited when good news is announced. In effect controlling the news flow to best advantage. I too wouldn't be surprised to see 2023 EPS achieved this year!! | peart
25/3/2021 06:50 | If Finncap's forecasts are correct then I would say BOTB is fairly valued at these levels. It sounds extraordinary though to surge in growth from 37p for a full year to 60p for the following 1st half to then essentially plateau and do 65p for the second half and then 15% for each year thereafter until 2023. Mind you 15% is still nice annual growth, but it seems odd in light of recent history. It doesn't make sense to me. Maybe Finncap will be right this time but they've got it very wrong in the past, or as others have said maybe management is just being ultra conservative, to then state that the business is performing better than expected at each trading statement. We obviously don't know of how detailed communications are between management and Finncap. My suspicions are that management is calling the shots and plans to under promise and then hopefully over deliver. Best way probably. A nice solid 15% annual growth which they are super confident of managing to achieve, as an absolute rock bottom. | peart |
