24/2/2021 10:28 | Well said Serratia & Mamm | ryanc106
24/2/2021 10:20 | Clearly Solooiler has a view to peddle which isn't and hasn't been supported by the company's financial performance. He missed the boat and is still hoping that he can clamber on board. Of course, people can listen to his views and treat them as objective. I suggest they will be poorer as a consequence of doing so but that is their prerogative. I will be here to remind them in future of what his motivation is because not everybody will take the trouble to go through his posts to see how he has contradicted himself. For anybody who doesn't do so, it is safest on this site to assume that all posters are talking their book. For the record, I am long and have made no secret of this. Sensible contrary opinions are most welcome. Those like Solooiler's that are merely designed to create fear that he can try and profit from deserve to be called out and discredited. | mammyoko
24/2/2021 10:17 | Solo, I track figures which whilst they have a link to visits are more closely linked to plays so give me a better figure regarding revenue. In July/August last year they turned up the advertising to show the bidders what they can do if they want. After demonstrating the companies potential they cut back down to their historic levels of growth. H1 saw growth at 2.2* H2 of the previous year. If you look at the visits I suspect towards the end of H1 this year you will see them down from the big months July/August as they pulled back on the advertising spend. My figures show H2 growing well at a slightly lower rate than H1. You gave 2 figures showing visits down from the peak month of 2.8m to 1.7m and use that to imply things are going backwards from H1. That doesn't fit with the companies statement that growth is continuing to exceed managements expectations. Your suggestion doesn't also gel with FinnCap's target of £44m revenue for the year. | serratia
24/2/2021 10:09 | What are you getting at then Solooiler? Are you saying BOTB has had it's 6 months of fame and is now on the decline? Presumably you think earnings are now going to drop off a cliff? Personally I think the opposite but opinions make a market I guess. | ryanc106
24/2/2021 10:04 | Traffic down 40% on August, 26% on September, 14% on October to December.... If it was small numbers I would agree and maybe quality over quantity but these are big falls and we all know covid has hugely benefited online gambling companies. At least Ryan is a pleasant individual to converse with ! | solooiler
24/2/2021 10:01 | Traffic doesn't necessarily equate to value Solooiler. It's the quality of that traffic that makes the difference. Just wait and see my friend :) | ryanc106
24/2/2021 09:52 | How do you believe forecasts are conservative when web traffic has been fading quickly after peaking in the first half? That would say to me the opposite | solooiler
24/2/2021 09:35 | Pleased the FSP is over now. Will smash all forecasts.Always under promise and over deliver | investographer
24/2/2021 09:32 | Nice to see that the FSP has finally come to an end. IMO the Finncap estimates are v conservative and we should beat them quite comfortably. I see us drifting up, up and away from here. We are currently invested in one of the highest growth online businesses available on a forward earnings multiple of about 18 which is mind bogglingly cheap imo. I tried to buy more again this morning but could get filled in any size so just gave up in the end. We're only at the start here I reckon. All the best | ryanc106
24/2/2021 09:30 | Nobody here is likely to listen to any of your supposed ethical issues, compromised as they seem to be by your stated regret at not buying in when you had the chance. Just going up at 2676 on level 2. Sorry for those numpties selling in the 20s this morning. | mammyoko
24/2/2021 09:23 | Or someone who hates hearing anything but roses and butterflies on a stock they own. Argue me the massive fall in web traffic. Or argue me the possible risks from the upcoming huge review of the Uk Gambling Act 05? I have not read anything on here about that The reason i post here not on other gambling stocks is because they arent growing so fast. Botb growing so fast means more people are losing money. And in a pandemic year many of them will not be the rich or affluent. What i say here will have no impact on the share price. Discussion boards are for discussing and not just positives either | solooiler
24/2/2021 09:07 | Persistent deramper who failed to spot the potential, now trying to induce weak holders to sell. Completely discredited | mammyoko
24/2/2021 09:01 | "BOTB is proud to have made over 80 charitable donations totalling more than £160,000 to a wide range of both national and international charities." | 3ootuk
24/2/2021 08:58 | Great post by solooiler on 14th Jan, "ferk me. I should have bought even if I dont like it. 25 x 120 = 3000p" Chance to get in now. | handykart
24/2/2021 08:52 | Solo.. Its about retention. Yes, maybe more web views at different times as the company alters advertising strategy, but its about retention. I must say I visited the site a few times and never played before I invested. After issues with an online lottery company I started playing BOTB for £1.50-£2pw. I'm now a regular playing what was lottery money. I'm retained and I do enjoy it more than lotteries. I guesstimate my odds as about 1:50,000 to 1:500,000 given my crosses vs result, so would have better odds going for a raffle where there a fixed number of tickets. Though they aren't interactive. Although I don't win, I do get discounts which is sort of equivalent to winning a tenner on the lottery after a while. The psychology is there that yes you lose, but you win a discount. | 3ootuk
24/2/2021 08:50 | We have an evangelist on the board today. Good to see his perspective isn't in any way related to the fundamentals of the business. Wrong place for you chappie, take your comments to your MP and leave this board for people who want to discuss the company's financial prospects. | mammyoko
24/2/2021 08:48 | I know i have a purist view on the world about gambling so fine to disagree | solooiler
24/2/2021 08:47 | From the wording of the announcement it does sound as if one or more of the rejected proposals from interested companies included moving away from a purely online operation. I am pleased they've opted to stay with an online-only setup. | grabster
24/2/2021 08:44 | Are you asking me to try harder? Botb makes a huge profit margin. That means people are buying tickets and receiving a fraction of the money back. They may derive some pleasure from playing but you watch the youtube fan channels and its really sad. These are people who i dont think can afford to spend £40. Week on botb tickets but who genuinely think they will win one day. The chances of winning must be really small If this was gone from society to protect the small guy players, im not sure it would be that missed. Just like all of the gambling companies. They should all have a requirement to give to charity like the national lottery does and not for corporate profit and a few shareholders | solooiler
24/2/2021 08:44 | Paul Scott is a buyer on any weakness. So am I | mammyoko
24/2/2021 08:43 | Can't buy on HL now | mammyoko
24/2/2021 08:42 | Ditto FB. A fill or kill at the offer at 08:10 went through quite quickly. | shanklin
24/2/2021 08:39 | I bought online with HL. Was a struggle though. | farnesbarnes
24/2/2021 08:34 | Squeeze on | mammyoko
24/2/2021 08:34 | Keep trying, nobody's listening | mammyoko |
