Oh yes, and adding 'The' to Barkby's name hasn't made any difference despite such a stunning strategic stroke of genius from the BOD!

Nice to know but there seems to be zero interest and zero trades in this company. It's effectively a zombie company whose BOD seem to have completely forgotten they have shareholders who are looking for some kind of return on their investment. I think they call it a 'lifestyle' company for the benefit of the directors. Hopeless and one to avoid if I wasn't in already at a loss!

Whilst in the cotswolds last week i decided to check out
the Ebrinton Arms couldnt get a table for the evening because
they were fully booked but popped in anyway for a quick drink
very impressed the company should do very well out of their
new acquistion.

I did not imply that you are naive
My optimism is based on a sound company with excellent management and the majority of the shares held tightly by a few major shareholders hence my saying DYOR

I'm not naive but just wondered what your optimism was based on primarily. Anyhow, I shall hold the few I've bought so far and await developments in news and trading volume.

This is a well managed company and the share price is only going in one direction and it is not down

Not sure anyone would conceive the name The Barkby Group out of thin air or even Barkby Group but you never know! Perhaps we will see some demergers in time from this mini conglomerate? It could be another Tomkins from my distant memory? Or even a Hanson? I'm sure there's potential here and I may even buy a few more. Anyone else any views of the company? Cheers Puff

See today is a good example, a buoyant day for the general market but zero trades here. It's not going to move with no one showing any interest! So maybe the director's need to step up to the plate and demonstrate leadership to the owners of the Company (who are incidentally us shareholders if you forgot).
