he Serious Fraud Office (SFO) has told the Court of Appeal that the expert witness it appointed to give evidence during the Libor trials failed to act with integrity.
The SFO paid Saul Haydon Rowe more than £400,000 to appear as an expert witness during the trials of former traders accused of rigging the London Interbank Offered Rate (Libor), but questions have this year emerged over his credibility.
Former Barclays’ banker Alex Pabon, who got out of jail for rigging Libor earlier this year, is trying to overturn his conviction on the basis that Mr Rowe had texted friends for help during the trials.  The outcome of Mr Pabon’s appeal could have huge consequences on the other trials where Mr Rowe was a witness, including that of Tom Hayes, who is serving an 11-year jail sentence.

Where we are today is that Millennial businesses and Millennial influenced businesses, not only do they not want to do business with Boomer dinosaur brands like Barclays, but they are embarrassed and ashamed to imo.

Putting BARCLAYS BANK on your remittance advice is like inviting a purchase order via fax machine imo.

Then the customer base moans when said alleged criminal and fraudulent institution mucks up their divi's, investments, and offers them potentially compromised security?

A property correction is coming ... when it does banks will not want to be holding circa 20 of the UK property market on their books as repos.

We made you pay out compensation last cycle. Now clean up your act.

Ironic that the main cheerleader for Trumps campaign to “lock her up” is now looking likely to plea bargain or spend some time inside. Have to wonder how many of the wholly dishonest regime will be implicated.

Still may get their tax cuts through, which will add trillions to their debt. Makes corbynomics look viable.

Good to see Sir John Timpson join the board. This is a man who helps ex offenders go straight. Makes a change from protecting those who should go to prison avoid their fate.

Should do wonders for their corporate responsibly.
