T
he Serious Fraud Office (SFO) has told the Court of Appeal that the expert witness it appointed to give evidence during the Libor trials failed to act with integrity.
The SFO paid Saul Haydon Rowe more than £400,000 to appear as an expert witness during the trials of former traders accused of rigging the London Interbank Offered Rate (Libor), but questions have this year emerged over his credibility.
Former Barclays’ banker Alex Pabon, who got out of jail for rigging Libor earlier this year, is trying to overturn his conviction on the basis that Mr Rowe had texted friends for help during the trials.  The outcome of Mr Pabon’s appeal could have huge consequences on the other trials where Mr Rowe was a witness, including that of Tom Hayes, who is serving an 11-year jail sentence.

Millennials have increasing business influence day by day imo.

Where we are today is that Millennial businesses and Millennial influenced businesses, not only do they not want to do business with Boomer dinosaur brands like Barclays, but they are embarrassed and ashamed to imo.

Putting BARCLAYS BANK on your remittance advice is like inviting a purchase order via fax machine imo.

So.

People let what the SFO and DoJ allege are "criminals" and "fraudsters", look after their money and investments.

OK cool, y'know what? Whatever. It takes all sorts. No problem.

Then the customer base moans when said alleged criminal and fraudulent institution mucks up their divi's, investments, and offers them potentially compromised security?

THROW ME A FRICKIN' BONE HERE PEOPLE

Property prices are falling in the UK

The labour party let banks go unregulated under Brown

2008 crash resulted

Plus current swathe of various miss- selling still on going and RBS scandal re small businesses

A property correction is coming ... when it does banks will not want to be holding circa 20 of the UK property market on their books as repos.

What will they do instead ?

As Fiat money loses value ... not pegged to Gold

It is easy to see why the rise of Crypto Currencies has taken hold

What are the banks going to do to stop fiat money from continuing to lose vale ?

Yet more "service" from Barclays.

-----------------

We wanted to let you know about some information relating to Kaspersky anti-virus software following the information that’s been shared in the news today. We felt it was important to share with you the decisions we’ve made, as well as some key facts.

What you need to know

The UK Government has been advised by the National Cyber Security Centre to remove any Russian products from all highly sensitive systems classified as secret or above.

We’ve made the precautionary decision to no longer offer Kaspersky software to new users, however there’s nothing to suggest that customers need to stop using Kaspersky.

What should you do next?

At this stage there is no action for you to take. It’s important that you continue to protect yourself with anti-virus software. If you have any concerns, you could consider alternative anti-virus suppliers.

We’ll continue to take every practical measure to ensure that your personal and financial details remain as safe and secure as possible. One of those measures is Barclays Online and Mobile Banking Guarantee. For more details on this, visit our website and search Mobile Banking Guarantee.

Yours sincerely,

Your Barclays Team

I don't want to discredit Sir John Timpson, or his achievements, but I really do wonder what the hell a key cutter and cobbler can bring to the board of the UK's most struggling bank?

If you visit Shadowserver.org and scroll to the bottom of the menu for any of the virus time period stats like virus daily states, you'll quickly see there is not 1 anti virus program in the world that can spot 100% of the viruses that are known to the AV company.

Barclays Bank.

A word of advice.

Don't try again to retain our dividends this month to bolster your performance. Just don't!

We made you pay out compensation last cycle. Now clean up your act.

If Barclays try to scam you again by withholding your dividends for a few weeks, please raise a complaint here at the FCA - also write to Shares Magazine and the FT.

FCA - How to complain

Barclays - forget your patronising TV adverts and get back to basics.

I don't think Trump cares much about the state visit, why would he want to visit the liberal left hotbed the UK is now, it's leaders and institutions are all appeasers.

Ironic that the main cheerleader for Trumps campaign to “lock her up” is now looking likely to plea bargain or spend some time inside. Have to wonder how many of the wholly dishonest regime will be implicated.

Still may get their tax cuts through, which will add trillions to their debt. Makes corbynomics look viable.

Good to see Sir John Timpson join the board. This is a man who helps ex offenders go straight. Makes a change from protecting those who should go to prison avoid their fate.

Should do wonders for their corporate responsibly.
