04/11/2017 07:14 | That’s a price cut, not a tax cut. The so called trickle down effect that was used to justify tax cuts in the 80s has been proved to be a failure. I know that tax cuts do spur growth, but if this is not sufficiently achieved the US debt will ballon out of all control. But that’s what you get wihen you elect a three times bankrupt president. And of course it still doesn’t answer the question about which of trumps policies have caused the US current growth | dr biotech
04/11/2017 06:44 | Dr Biotech 3 Nov '17 - 20:13 - 123881 of 123884 0 0 Which part of trumps legislation has managed that then? His new tax cut is going to need a magic money forest, let alone a tree. When the penny post was introduced it was a price cut of more than 90% and yet Post Office revenues and profits went up. How many times must this principle be demonstrated for people to get the message? When tax rates are cut it can cause revenues to increase, not decrease. | grahamite2
04/11/2017 06:11 | Barclays takes on the investor base imo: | manics
04/11/2017 05:59 | Barclays has foresaken shareholders. Barclays imo has long forsaken morality, and truth. Barclays stockbrokers has foresaken its client base. kenbachelor has foresaken this community. I liken BARC investors to Shaolin monks: they do this one trick where you can kick them in the balls repeatedly yet they are so focussed they don't even flinch. So we see with the BARC investor, but they are focused on a mirage imo, and all the while the great guys at BARC take a few steps backward taking aim for the next run up. | manics
03/11/2017 23:22 | FTSE at year highs & Barc at year lows...sentiment is very low here... | diku
03/11/2017 20:13 | Which part of trumps legislation has managed that then? His new tax cut is going to need a magic money forest, let alone a tree. Although his own family will be huge beneficiaries. | dr biotech
03/11/2017 19:33 | Has Trump pulled off unlikely economic miracle? Business investment on new equipment increased by 8.6 per cent annualised rate. And the unemployment rate has also fallen to 4.2 per cent. | johnwise

03/11/2017 12:14 | Barclays Smart investor system is throwing out e-mails telling customers they have not replied to a corporate action request. Spoke to them today, this is a technical issue and mails are being sent to customers who don't have any corp actions to complete! Also asked about div payments and they confirmed that they were working to a 10 day timing to credit account. The sooner they transfer my account out the better, so far 4 weeks and no action on this | ayl30
