15/11/2017 14:15 | BARCLAYS SMART Investors UNABLE TO PASS DIVIDENDS PTEC dividend payment due 24th October. EXTRACT from their Thanks for your email. The dividend is being received by foreign cheque that is why its has been delayed. The reason other providers are able to pay same day is they have a bulk account of their own money that they use to pay the dividends and then the actual dividend money is put back into this bulk account. We do not pay dividends in this way at Smart Investor which means we actually need to wait until we receive the bulk payments from registrars before we can pay it out. As Playtech is a foreign stock the payment is being made by cheque which is currently being processed to clear and then once it is cleared we can start paying the dividends out. ' BANK cannot provide float to its own department BANK cannot process a Euro cheque for over 3 weeks ' I have been a bank customer for over 50 years I have been an investment account holder for over 20 Years (ex Charles Schwab ' Since tne online Banking and Investment web site, in late August, I have now been landed with a long line of problems. Example Dividends were usually paid the next day. Now Terms and Conditions say within 5 business days. Playtech, a major UK company, DIVIDEND IS SUBSTANTIAL AND DELAYED FOR 15 BUSINESS DAYS AND COUNTING. ' The excuses are fundamental simple banking, transaction handling, and Foreign exchange. A bank which cannot handle these is in DANGER of going to the wall | togglebrush
15/11/2017 13:54 | Buy to Let has fuelled house price inflation at the bottom end of the market, making it much harder for FTBs and the less well off to ever get on the ladder. Put simply it has allowed the financially savvy who already have wealth to increase their wealth at the expense of the very people that society should be helping to get on. Instead, vast swathes of the population have got left so far behind that their dreams of property ownership are no more realisable than dreams of flying to Mars..When these BTL retire the government will have to pay the rent tab for £ billions a year | johnwise
