joe,
i offered advice..the move was obvious to me as i read this set up better than others, that's why i trade on it.

....you should act on it if you have the experience to read the move.

if not hold tight.

...may be next time i pop up you might just get your charts out and draw some lines on them.

The board ought to be buying shares back at this price. That is what Barclays are doing - 2.5 million at a time.

the divi cheque should be waiting on the doormat when I get home sc...........see if I can get it banked tomorrow ready for a purchase oppo next week (or close to close of play tomorrow)..........I'm sure others may reinvest their divi too.............

probably a bit late, or suck eggs type stuff mr, but never overextend yourself........I try to keep about 30-40% in reserves using cash to backup a position rather than the extra leverage a rising stock creates........I know it's tempting, but you can get into a right mess if you leverage too much and the markets drop..............looks like your just about ok now, which is good..........

my bets are on a double bottom................

a good many people like myself are looking to reduce positions v pay margin calls....

mine is to high for this type of illiquid stock, hence i have had to half my position in the last 5 trading days in order to keep my a/c in order.. this will go down quickly when market sentiment is poor and there is low vol traded and same can be said when markets pick up this will pick up quick.

also with spread betting people say to me why did you not turn it round and short it first signs of a turnround.... well if you think that can be done quickly with £1000 pp in axon think again it aint going to happen, it takes weeks/months to build up that position and would take some time to drip feed back on the market....anything more than £10 pp and you will often get chipped on the quoted price

staying positive....a week or 2 is a long time in the markets, this could be 750 / 800 this time next week imo... a top stock....

Yes christmas, it's been on my mind of late.... what to buy the missus and all that, maybe surprise her with something from the proceeds of a AXO santa rally... well you never know !. Those city boys do love a "santa rally", it helps the old bonus system no end.. :-)

Watching and waiting to pick up a few at a silly price.

hi spacecake, well from the H1 comments and Mondays broker note I'm sure the business is sound too.........can't remember my exact words, but illiquidity can be a problem........especially first thing in the morning......maybe that's why the institutions wanted the 2m shares...........

also, people that are loosing out elsewhere and are overcommitted will have to release stock to cover margin calls.....it would seem that Axon unfortunately maybe have been caught up in that to date.......it's a vicious circle and I tend to observe it needs about 3 days (time between margin call and payment deadline) of positive markets to stop the rot.............once we've got that then buyers tend to come back in...............just need something to break the chain........maybe next week...........

not sure how far east your looking, but China and India still have double digit growth and their markets reflect that.........also they have little impact on the much more massive western markets.........there was one blip a little while ago, then everyone put the Chineese stock market into perspective and realised it was just a meer drop (for now anyhow)............the Hang Seng is all over the place..........up 1000 one day, down 600 the next, with some massive swings during the day at times............off it's highs of 31k or so, similar to the US loosing ~1200 points from it's highs........around 10% is deemed a healthy correction.........not sure for who's health though.......lol.............

I'd guess the markets will bounce off the previous August lows again with Q4 well underway and Christmas shoppers being out..........and also with techs being oversold.........just got to wait till the computer programs turn positive and sentiment changes............

Hi bb,

I remember you posting once that one of the reasons that AXO share price out performed on the way up was due to the poor liquidity, therefore AXO will underperform on the way down - a loss leader.

The underlying business is sound to date. However, I do find myself looking east for indications of a big market fall rather than west to the states these days.

I get it, they're not treating Axon like a bank which has subprime today...........no, today Axon is a sports retailer following lastnight's result........may as well add pubs to that as well, cos no doubt they'll suffer too imo with no home interest in the cup next year (if they had that expectation priced in)............

ps, keep off that strong beer (or at least be aware of the beer your drinking 1st..........bit of a thumper this morning........lol............

pps, one thing this does do is allow the company to buyback at much cheaper price..............which is benficial for all........if they're still buyinmg back that is............

ok mr.........looks like the markets in general are looking for a double bottom with August's low............more than likely computer program driven too.............in which case they're not far off as I look back at the charts.............

morning all..........well what a day/night that was............and this morning started off ok too, then what's happened in the last half hour??????????

mr is that you releasing more stock or had you finished???????????..........down 22 on 18k is a bit drastic..........ah well.......coming back down to August's low then............which ain't no bad thing imo as it coincides with getting this week out of the way......(US closed today and only short hours tomorrow)..........fresh start next week.........

reports of techs well oversold by analysts on doomberg etc...........taking a pasting is one description..........fingers crossed the US have a decent holiday and come back in a better mood...........
