going well there Joe.............off it's highs, but going well............

all but 1 mm now above 800 and the orderbook still strong............

33.4k v 17.5k total buys to sells placed on the book...............looking good for a push back over 800...............

I would be topping up at these prices but my spare cash went into Barclays at average of £5.08 so I am not inclined to switch just yet. I hope the price will move sideways until maybe early December. Then I am probably going for in for as much as I can get.

morning all..................well what a difference..........could just feel the US was going to hold onto the initial gains yesterday..........didn't expect that sort of rise though............I'm leaning towards computer trading there bouncing off the 13,000 mark.........yes the same computers that drove it down there in the first place.............

anyhow............Axon back on track by the looks.......very decent orderbook too.....in fact many many stocks well into the blue.........including banks...............

loosing any confidence i'v got left in it... vix is all time high... just as i get some good positions they get blown out the water..

5 pm seems to be the time it turns, will see.....

a few bottom feeders coming onboard in the last 30 mins

no 5.35 summary's from bb anymore ???

U.S. Stock-Index Futures Rise; Wal-Mart, Apple Shares Advance

Nov. 13 (Bloomberg) -- U.S. stocks were poised to halt a four-day slide after Wal-Mart Stores Inc., the world's largest retailer, reported third-quarter profit that beat analysts' estimates.

Wal-Mart climbed after the company forecast full-year earnings that also topped analysts' projections. Apple Inc. rose after China Mobile Ltd., the world's biggest wireless operator by subscribers, said it's in talks to sell the company's iPhone handset in China. Yahoo! Inc., owner of the most-visited U.S. Web site, rallied after CIBC World Markets upgraded the shares.

Standard & Poor's 500 Index futures expiring in December climbed 14.5 to 1,454.7 at 9:10 a.m. in New York. Dow Jones Industrial Average futures rallied 101 to 13,091. Nasdaq-100 Index futures added 27.5 to 2,017.

``We have just gone a little bit too far, too fast; there was an excess of pessimism,'' said Sam Stovall, chief investment strategist at Standard & Poor's in New York. ``We could be due for a bounce.''

cheers ady.........I have to wait until investtech provides the freebie update tomorrow night..............

re that 115k trade.........whoever it was should have given Mark Hunter a call to find out who he sold to........he managed to get 790 for two million due to them wanting stock.........would have probably not sent the stock down to here too imo..............after all the mms/brokers kept the share price round about the 820 mark then...............

but then we wouldn't have been able to take advantage.............

well it's not an exact science ady.......760 will do..............go to a meeting and lo and behold 115k trade goes through..........finally out of the way then...........not quite the 780 you thought sm...........but it's not an exact science is it..........

right then........markets are well off their session lows.........lets start getting back to where it should be now the seller has declared...........

hi all, hav'nt had time to monitor AXO been to maylasia for the weekend, -koo bit of a drop , i have 748 as an upward trend lower support -it did'nt quite get as low as that, sit tight!

VOD reporting decent figures................decent volume too there............

mr, you tend to get bear runs in recessions...........last reports were the chances of that were receeding.........(last week claims report headlines if I remember correctly)..............no doubt they'll use interest rate cuts to keep things stimulated..........


and while all around you lose their heads, remember this..................

Axon Group H1 pretax doubles on good all-round performance; positive for H2




LONDON (Thomson Financial) - Axon Group PLC reported a doubling in its
first-half pretax profit on good all-round performance and said it expects a
good second half on the back of a strong order book, a good pipeline and
excellent operational controls.
The company recorded a pretax profit of 13.4 mln stg for the period to June
30 2007 from 6.9 mln stg a year earlier.
Revenues were up 56 pct at 96.7 mln stg.
The company also said it is increasing the interim dividend to 2.00 pence
from 1.75 pence a year earlier.

morning all............well a better start today.......things seem less erratic..........well whatever happened yesterday looks like they got a couple of stops triggered............and as you say sm the bounce off the 200 line was good.............

not that the stock should be anywhere near these levels with those £10 targets...........but we thank the markets for allowing little chances like this...........

hi mr.........well they got what what they expected from the banks 3rd quarter results.............all the dish water thrown out.........so turmoil was expected........the German's seem to think there's a light ahead for the banks......................so maybe the worst is over????????



ECOFIN Germany's Mirow does not expect further banking sector problems

BRUSSELS (Thomson Financial) - German deputy finance minister Thomas Mirow
said he does not expect to see more problems in Germany's banking sector.
Questioned by reporters after German state bank WestLB AG issued a profit
warning, he said: "We don't expect any further problems."
As he entered the monthly meeting of EU finance ministers, Mirow said the
German government has a fairly clear indication of what is on the banks' balance
sheets.
Asked about EU economic and monetary affairs commissioner Joaquin Almunia's
comment after last night's meeting of euro zone finance ministers that the
credit crunch is not over, he said: "Of course we would like to have a
normalisation of the situation but we haven't see that yet."

hope its not the start of a long bearish run, but has all the hallmarks imo

jp morgan mr.......................QXL sort of balanced the day for me...........strange day for Axon all in all as it was doing just about fine until after 11 which implied some US overhang...........the London fire then spooked the market generally and I guess then stops were hit adding to the drop..............

the 200dma though proved to be very strong with an immediate bounce with the mms being very receptive to buys and moving up without resistance............If the US behaves tonight then I'll wager bargin hunters will be out and about tomorrow...............
