Best to take these broker buy/sell target prices with a very very large pinch of salt!

For the 4th year in a row broker buys way underperformed the market last year AND the most popular broker buy of all last year (BAT) was THE worst performing FTSE100 share of all!

And what’s more their SELL shares did far better than their buys and ended up outperforming the market. i.e Instead of underperforming their sell shares did well! So the sure fire way to win, yet again, was to do the opposite of what brokers advised.

Well worth reading broker note content but not their hopeless share price predictions.

Also note how armed with the same information some brokers then think sell while others think buy or even strong buy.

Yep I've been doing that for over 25 yrs, you get a feel for quick 10ps and when to buy and sell larger holdings. It's certainly not one to just hold and hold.

Feel the same way , bought at around 478 then watched it go down to 380 in a short time but never lost any sleep .

Reason ? . I believe I’m in a solid company that will sooner or later come around

I have more than a dozen stocks (down from about 20); only two of them give me any worries. Aviva is not one of the two... provided you buy when it is priced low, slice the holding on full valuation, and can wait for that to happen, it seems to me for the most part a good solid good-ividend-paying holding.

Well that rather depends on your timing! The fact you only need 5pc to BE tells me that you probably bought in October. And if you don't see a link there then I'm fairly certain you could do with diversifying your portfolio a little. Maybe have a look at the FTSE, AIM, DOW, NASDAQ or just about anything else and see if you can find a correlation. Not much has been particularly safe these past months.

Has anyone noticed the gradual increase over the month from 380p. At this rate we may add another 40p by the end of the month

Reverse head and shoulders could take this straight back to £5. That would not be an unresonable rating, given the uncertainty surrounding the appointment of a new CEO. Without that and the stupid prefs debacle and of course Theresa's almighty balls-up of Brexit, this would be up closer to £6. In the meantime the yield is far from stingy.

They have to offer it to the chosen candidate and make sure he / she accepts before they can release an RNS...

Who were all the investors selling at 360 / 370 price levels?
Are they able to justify such a strategy, lets say to their fundholders?
