19/1/2019 10:34 | Standard Life/Aberdeen merger has hardly been a rip roaring success. If Alllianz came calling I’d listen though. We need a CEO asap. I liked Wilson, but we are still rated poorly. | dr biotech

18/1/2019 16:42 | I suppose it's worth thinking about what the catalysts for improvements in the share price might be. The two which spring to mind are (1) positive news on the appointment of a new CEO would and (2) reassurance on the full year results (due to release 7 March). I'm considering a top up at between 460p and 470p (which would see it rising above the 200 day moving average). Hopefully it can manage that in the next month or so. | danielbird193
18/1/2019 16:34 | If it went to £8 my wife could retire too... | uppompeii
18/1/2019 16:07 | A very interesting comparison. Thanks for digging that out DB193. If the AV share price can catch up to the average of those companies, at 1.9 times book value, it would take it close to £8 - so perhaps it won't in the foreseeable future. Nevertheless, it does mean that there is plenty of growth in the share price to look forward to. | aimingupward2
