I’m in Halifax, divi is in but consolidation monies not. Only creates confusion how these different platforms operate . Got to wait and pray it arrives … intend to reinvest here to reach similar shares as before.

Try reading the details of the move, because you now have less shares as a result of consolidation. Should you be invested here is you can't be bothered to understand what's happening?

Aviva put divi in account on day e.g. today for Aviva. If you auto reinvest they do that between 11th and 12th of each month. You can transfer divi to bank account today if in account

I had previously arranged with hargreaves lansdown to pay all dividends into my bank-for AVIVA dividends-they had not arrived by midday ,so i telephoned them and they said dividend would not be paid till the tenth of next month, upon pressing them they agreed to pay dividend and consolidation money today, but i had missed the 12 noon cut off so being paid tomorrow-beware of HL erroneous practices

If you buy back you get a significant increase in dividend. Now you're receiving a proposed 31p.

@waterloo01, II allows you to adjust the book value so l got the same average share price now as before consolidation.

Agree struggling to see the benefit, except being forced out of 25% of ones holding and triggering a cap gain, so I'm actually down in one account. Meanwhile the company has X billions less on it's books. I must be missing something!

Just got my cash in ajbell sipp now. What was the point of all this though. If everyone is buying back in what's changed ? Also I've worked out for me to buy back in I'm only going to have 20 quid extra ? Isn't this pointless ? Either way I've decided to sit on the cash. There will be a recession announced on July 1st this year so can see potentially lower prices. Still a cracking company even at current levels though.

I am holding back from reinvesting capital return. Brokers are saying, if there's a global recession, S&P500 will fall to 3000 level.
I don't think AV will be immune to a general bear market. I am switching off FOMO,. Fear of missing out.

Mister MD

The company has identified specific sums of money distributable through dividend payments for the next two years.

By reducing the number of shares in issue it has effectively increased the dividend per share payable, with a commensurate increase in the yield. The yield differential to both the sector and the market is therefore greater.

For both the yield and relative to move back to its previous (cum reconstruction and payment) basis , the share price must move to substantially higher levels.

Cash received at 12.00 for consolidation but not my Divi yet for some reason...just to let others here know. It appears that some brokers have handled things well or not quite so well. Anyway, I am sure my divi will be credited later and deciding where to add after using spare cash on Monday to but at 390p which was just as well!!

Considering PHNX as well. I like the way the divi is split relatively equally on each payment.
