Don't know if it's comparable technology but from
News from a satellite launch in July when the satellite was operational 10 days after the launch " Cartosat-2B - the remote-sensing satellite put in orbit by the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV-C15) on Monday - is in fine fettle and will become operational in a week.

The rocket put four other satellites as well in orbit at an altitude of 637 km."

That would put us up and running in ~November with at least test services available before the end of the year??
Fingers xd

One thing for sure we shouldn't have long to wait now......I still think we will be somewhat higher before launch but how long from take off we will know that all is working well I have no idea but surely it will push on rapidly then

I suppose what we`re discussing here is the psychology of the stockmarket.
Risk-reward etc etc. If risk is minimum 50%, reward needs to be pretty special to get the "punter mob" in.If this share is likely to hit £22,then why not wait and get aboard post launch even at £10?
If the share price hits £8 pre launch,I have to say I will be very tempted to get out. Been in since £3 so will be happy with that-but I still think £8 is a big if.
Post launch, some of the risk will be removed so I agree,£10 is a real possibility.

No one 's saying this is a 'one way bet'. That's precisely why I say £10 AFTER successful launch. If it fails then irrespective of insurance the share price will drop a minimum of 50%.

Even sco77harris above is reluctant to add because of (perceived) risk. he is not alone.

Therefore, it follows that once the launch has passed successfully there will be a wall of money flooding in here. Thus share price over £10 imo.

If you don't like risk, wait a few weeks and pay a lot more. Or, beat the rush and add now, as I am! (he who dares etc).

Personally, based on what tends to happen to junior oilers shortly before they drill/during drilling, I reckon the share price here has got the scope to hit at least £7 immediately prior to launch, if not £8+.

What many seem to forget is, Avanti is a fairly illiquid stock. The chart of the last few years should tell you that. Heavy buying pressure could easily push this up £1 - £2 more pre-launch. All it will take is the punter mob (currently chasing companies like Solomon Gold, who barely even have a defined resource), to begin diving into AVN on a pre-launch gamble.

Of course, Avanti will crash spectacularly if the launch is not successful. Personally, I'd be wary of false rumours of failure appearing on this board post-launch, before the company officially update the Market.

A bit of realism here-I`d be pleased if it held the £6 mark prelaunch-have to say a few will think of jumping ship as launch date approaches.
Post launch, there will definitely be a bounce but nothing sustainable until the satellite proves itself.
Sorry, don`t want to be a party pooper but as much as I`d like it to be different, there isn`t a one way bet in the stockmarket.

I would be delighted with £8. I also expect the share price to pick up a bit of momentum before launch. There are potential investors possibly playing around with other shares at the moment while AVN marks time and then will start their speculation in the week running up to launch. Just my opinion!

Yorgi - do you mean you would NOT want to be out of AVN at this time?

Molby - £22 was mentioned in previous posts and may in fact have been RHPS quoting Cenko.
