23/9/2010 10:21 | Yes further to go as we get closer to launch I'm quite sure and then even more after. There was no mention of AVN or Hylas (not what I heard) on Breakfast this morning Someuwin | yorgi
23/9/2010 10:17 | Like all shares there are peaks and troughs, but the overall trend here is up. And I expect that trend to accellerate as we get closer to launch (Now only 36 trading days away) | someuwin
23/9/2010 10:16 | it just seemed strange to me that such a small number of shares could cause such a big change. No one wants to sell presumably. Off to the beach for 3 weeks. Hope to see £7.50 when I return. | altom
23/9/2010 09:53 | Can`t see anything wrong with share price myself. A couple of months ago we were trading at £4 level. Now we`re in the £6 region.I take it as normal the share price trades sideways or even drifts down a bit unless a stonking rns comes out or until we have lift of on Nov 15th. | morgan freedman
23/9/2010 09:37 | I have not watched the trades that closely but what I have watched has never given me any cause to think anything "fishy" about trades. Having said that sometimes during the day I have found the movement of the share price odd but overall the trend has kept true being in upward or downward at the time. I'm quite happy with AVN share price movement and have no concerns.....just hope I'm not missing anything | yorgi
23/9/2010 09:37 | I see EADS was on BBC Breakfast this morning talking about the UK space industry and satellites etc. Didn't see it all so i don't know if they mentioned HYLAS (Which they built) | someuwin
23/9/2010 08:36 | When the share price spiked recently, three friends tried to sell 10ooo shares. The most the MM's would take was 500 at a time. They sold a few but kept the rest. Have the long termers seen that before please ?. | share_shark
23/9/2010 08:30 | More than fishy!. | share_shark
23/9/2010 08:28 | 700 shares bought this morning and share price is +8. Illiquid or what ? Something fishy going on ? | altom
22/9/2010 15:45 | I think you will enjoy launch more than your lunch today Horneblower..... :-) | yorgi
22/9/2010 12:56 | 37 minutes until lunch ☺ | horneblower
22/9/2010 11:32 | 37 trading days until launch. | someuwin
21/9/2010 15:05 | Nice article. munications > Infrastructure EU gives mobile broadband priority for new frequencies Analogue telly to give way for the Internet By Inquirer staff Tue Sep 21 2010, 12:05 MOBILE BROADBAND could get priority over other uses for the spare frequencies that will be available when analogue telly is swtched off. Under proposals from the European Commission, from 2013 frequencies should be made available for wireless broadband services in a bid to boost Internet access in rural areas. The proposals will have to be approved by the European Union's lawmaking bodies, the European Council and the European Parliament. Alternate uses for the frequencies could be broadcasts for regional television stations or in the UK more digital terrestrial channels including High Definition and 3D. Wireless broadband is also set to benefit from being given the 800MHz band by 1 January 2013 under EU proposals too. The EU's digital agenda commissioner Neelie Kroes told a press conference on Monday 20 September about the proposals for wireless broadband priority. "These measures will help to ensure that Europeans get the first-class Internet they expect and deserve, so that they can access the content and services they want," Kroes said. Up to a fifth of the UK population could be excluded from high speed broadband because the telecom carriers claim it is uneconomic to extend the fibre network to them. Some villages have had local government help while others see locals do special deals with small broadband providers. Or, as a somewhat 'farther out there' option, later this year the UK spacecraft Highly Adaptable Satellite 1, owned by Avanti Communications and part funded by the UK Space Agency, is to be launched and it could provide broadband Internet to rural homes across Europe. ยต | share_shark
21/9/2010 09:59 | Nice "cup and handle" chart formation almost complete so should see a strong push up again very soon. | adorling

20/9/2010 08:20 | Well that`s comforting to know ! | morgan freedman
20/9/2010 08:12 | We know it wouldn't be great news if the launch went wrong but it would not be a total loss | yorgi
20/9/2010 07:57 | ".Don't forget it is insured.." True. But the disappointment of a failed launch would still hit the share price hard enough to spike down and trigger stoplosses - even if only momentarily. The rebound from such a dip would presumably depend on how long before the next launch and whether the paying customers would wait or book elsewhere (if able to within whatever timeframe). | m.t.glass
19/9/2010 22:57 | The previous launches worked did they not! | dolores123

19/9/2010 08:36 | Sep 17, 2010 09:00 ETSenarioTek Awarded Contract for HYLAS 2 Ka-Band Satellite Payload Test System by Orbital Sciences Corporation Innovative Solution Reduces Risk by Extending and Improving Capabilities of Existing Payload Test System SANTA ROSA, CA--(Marketwire - September 17, 2010) - SenarioTek, LLC, a leading provider of custom RF/microwave test and measurement solutions, has been awarded a contract by Orbital Sciences Corporation (NYSE: ORB), of Dulles VA., to provide test technology to extend the capabilities of Orbital's installed payload test systems for the HYLAS 2 satellite payload. The SenarioTek solution will provide Orbital the highest level of RF accuracy and performance and reduces the test program risk by better characterizing the uncertainties introduced by the test system. SenarioTek has teamed with DelSontro Enterprises, LLC to provide Orbital a total solution of additive hardware, software, and final integration and validation. The solution includes specialized SenarioTek hardware that extends Orbital's existing payload test system's frequency coverage to Ka-band and expands the number of Input/Output ports. The solution hardware, comprised of a custom converter and a thermal vacuum compatible switching sub-system, will boost power and have the ability to track RF performance changes over time and temperature. DelSontro Enterprises, LLC will provide the overall system engineering, required system software, and final system integration, test, and validation. "SenarioTek offered Orbital an innovative solution that allowed us to meet the HYLAS 2 program requirements, improve performance and leverage our existing payload test system investment," said Dave DeTroye, Orbital's Manager of RF Test and Integration. | someuwin
17/9/2010 13:03 | ...To be fair - this one is well worth pumping! | someuwin
17/9/2010 12:41 | Bulford is pumping this like there is no tomorrow. Pointless him trying to hide the id of the company - anyone with google could find it from the info in about a minute... | stegrego |
