Contract Win

Avanti Communications (AIM: AVN), the broadband satellite operator, is pleased to announce that it has signed contracts with two new partners for the sale of broadband services to be delivered from HYLAS 1, Europe's first Ka Band satellite. InTouch Systems and DSL Telecom are established UK IT and Communications companies serving regional markets in which rural connectivity for homes and businesses plays an increasingly important part.

Commenting, David Williams, Avanti Chief Executive, said: "I am pleased see that, following the confirmation of our November 25th launch date, sales momentum is increasing."

most brokers use dcf models to get their prices, so there is a mathematics to it.

Interesting insight that EutelSat also going to deliver Ka-band services for Europe - David Williams view is it adds credibility to Avanti's use of the technology.

Looking forward to the Nov 25th launch.....

It was written in response to a number of 'panicky posts' and explains my position.

In my view partly underwriting a relatively high risk stock that has risen quite substantially is a sensible approach.

What really irritates me is people who post in a similar vein after a serious fall back in a share price.
