Rimmy: only 2 months income from Hylas 1, so not representative. Next results in February when we will get a better idea i guess.

Old services leased on other satellites were discontinued.
Staff numbers increased to cope with selling and supplying new services.

Those are two examples of the transformation in the business that answers your question.

so page 29, Consolidated Income:
Revenue 2011 = £5,462
Revenue 2010 = £5,815

Cost of Sales 2011 = -£7,678
Cost of Sales 2010 = -£3,140

Just trying to find an explanation why costs rose so much more when sales actually decreased? Any answer would be appreciated..?

Yes that is the advantage of having some shares in paper AA29.

I have had a quick skip through and all very positive the only thing that isn't is the share price which I'm confident will reflect the much higher value of AVN in 2012.

The annual report has been out for the best part of two months but David Williams' bit is a very good snapshot of where the company is at and well worth reading. I always try and have a few shares in certificated form so you get things like this sent to you.

I was a bit confused about why todays RNS was issued - maybe they forgot to do it in October.

The digital cinema service was mentioned IIRC in the final results announcement.

If you do read David Williams' words in the annual report, a reminder that he was very confident that their utilisation targets will be met when he spoke at the AGM a month ago will add to the positivity.

I'll read it through later Bubbleandleek.......As for the contract you speak of for the Digital Cinema I've not seen it before either, possibly not the only contract won that was not announced by way of RNS.

The report is a little hidden on the web site.....well I thought it was anyway.

Afternoon Avanti fans/non-fans.

Has anyone had a chance to read the Annual Report and Accounts out this a.m?

Just to point out as I have come across a couple of points which I am sure have not been mentioned before. According to Avanti they have won a Digital Cinema contract which for the life of me i can't find on the normal rns's (pls point me in the right direction if wrong). If this is new news then it is very positive. Also, according to the FD on page 15 (talking about Hylas 1), 'We continue to achieve pricing in excess of our base case'.....

I can't find any negatives in here.....so in turn I still think these represent great value at current levels.

Hopefully we can break the range we've been in for the last 3 months soon!

I use a bookmark tab of my favourites on my bookmark bar, running Chrome on a Mac and I find that works well for me.

If you go back to the "Free BB" tag Colva and then type in the board you want then it works.

Have you not got a list of favourites set up ? Makes life a lot easier.
