Apologies if this has already been posted. Below is a transcript of David Williams' evidence to the Welsh Affairs Committee on Broadband in Wales from 11 October 2011. Some interesting stuff comes up vis-a-vis satellite technology versus alternatives and the work Avanti has carried out in Scotland that it hopes to repeat in rural Wales.

Well we are getting closer to the September high when it was on the way down I would see breaking that as the foothold to move on up......but we still have to be patient.

However before we make any significant climb the market is going to want to see some confirmation that targets are being achieved. We also know that nothing is watertight when it comes to the stockmarket, or rarely is anyway so I do expect to see a pick up in the buying and along with it the share price before any release of information so well worth watching closely now I would say.

I'd like to see us breaking through 330p today which I believe is quite possible and then we can continue to climb.....I hope but we need to break out of this range. I'm quite sure all the shorters have not gone yet.

Looking ahead it would appear you have bought in at the right time sir :-) Maybe you should have bought more, in 6 months time you will have the definite answer to that one I would say.

I bought a few on a recommendation in the Sunday press the week before last.
I think whatever happens satellites will be important in the developing world.
Basically risk averse, so only put my toe in the water but today's share price performance has made me wonder whether I should have bought bought more.

what is a login ?

That would be nice Geheimnis, it would be good to see 400p again :-)

By that time we should have seen some numbers which will either confirm what the BOD confidence or not and if the revenues are rolling in as expected then I would expect we will be well north of here.

It only costs me £ 9.95 to sell. But the main reason is that I consider blt a better medium term hold and it pays a good dividend.Still got 1000 avn as a speculative long term hold.

Hi levi ,

With BLT up 6% and AVN up 5% i would have thought that dealing costs would have left you pretty much flat.

Maybe a double bottom to the chart. There are a number of companies I am following in the small cap spear where charts could be bottoming. Early days but I blo*dy hope so :)

Yorgi.
Just posted the same sentiments on SIA which has at last penetrated £3.
So I am expecting AVN to follow suit, I hope.

Thank you for that update AA29 and is good to hear that you reassured of AVN's progress.

Now all we want to see is the market reflecting that :-)

LOL cancun.

No, all it means was that the guy I thought was private shareholder no3 left straight after the formal bit without waiting for the main point of going to an AGM, the chance to talk informally to the directors. I therefore had no chance to compare notes with him.
