A few interesting stats courtesy of SH on II..

* LME COPPER: Three-month LME copper closed up 0.8 percent at $6,004 a tonne, having hit its highest since March 1 at $6,051.

* INVENTORIES: Copper inventories in Shanghai Futures Exchange-monitored warehouses fell 4.9 percent from last Friday to their lowest since January.

* STRIKE: An estimated 5,000 workers at the giant Grasberg copper mine operated by Freeport-McMoRan Inc's Indonesian unit will extend their strike for a fourth month in a dispute over layoffs and employment terms.

* COPPER DEFICIT: The world refined copper market showed a 53,000 tonne deficit in April, compared with an 18,000 tonne deficit in March, industry data showed.

We have lost 10% on the Dollar/Euro this year, which will hurt on our labour/costs, but we will have to wait for the financials to see the full results after hedging..

Q2 results tomorrow..?.. :o)

I think we know were the good stuff is!....

Aminer believes that Atalaya resigns to investigate 58 mining grids because "they are not worthy of exploitation"

16.25 h. The president of the Association of Companies Researchers, Extractors, Mining-Metallurgical, Auxiliary and Service Transformer Companies (Aminer), Francisco Moreno, has referred to this Friday the resignation by the company Atalaya Mining, owner of the mine of Riotinto, Of an area of 58 mining grids integrated in two permits of investigation that had granted him the Junta of Andalusia in the municipal terms of El Campillo, Zalamea the Real and Almonaster.
Speaking to reporters in Huelva, after holding a meeting with the PP-A president, Juanma Moreno, Francisco Moreno said that he assumes that the company "will have done adequate research operations and have recommended that they leave the permits because they do not They are interested, because they do not have mineral or they are not worthy of exploitation "

That's more like it, 160K volume and a stronger share price going into Q2 results Monday/Tuesday..
We already know it's the fat end of 10,000 Tonnes of Copper.., plus the Silver, I'm expecting to see c160,000 Ounces here too...

Silver went as low as $15.50/Oz recently, back up to $16.50 and has a way to go to $20+ again, $30 would be great.., when you're producing and selling 640,000 Ounces a year, this really starts adding up, $11M revenues at todays price, $13M at $20, $16M at $25/Oz...

Copper now over $6000 a Tonne with everything pointing higher with consumption set to rise with infrastructure programs and an ever greener world..

With our capacity to produce at 40,000 Tonnes under review and onto 55,000, then 90,000 Tonnes, and a possible Zinc project to add further.. we are beginning to accelerate value here as our cash position builds, working capital deficit closes, deferred invoices paid down, sooner or later this will be reflected in the share price .

The copper we keep on our books (stock piled) I assume that hurts Astor, as he (Ash) only get paid through marketing payments we make to him when we sell the copper.

Think we need to find a way to off load our copper concentrate and not pay Astor their marketing fee.

Name checked in the FT in a very bullish article.

"Investors bet on copper as electric car race hots up"

"These include SolGold, an Ecuador-focused explorer, and Ivanhoe Mines, the latest venture of mining entrepreneur Robert Friedland. Nevsun Resources, Atalaya Mining and Georgian Mining are other companies attracting attention."

"Their interest has already led to big share price gains for companies that are searching for deposits in new and challenging locations.

These include SolGold, an Ecuador-focused explorer, and Ivanhoe Mines, the latest venture of mining entrepreneur Robert Friedland. Nevsun Resources, Atalaya Mining and Georgian Mining are other companies attracting attention".

“You are going to need a telescope to see the copper price by 2020,” Mr Friedland told investors in London earlier this month.

“It took $10,000 a tonne copper and super-normal margins to lift production from 15m to 20m tonnes during the commodities super cycle [between 2003 and 2013]. At the very least, that is going to be required again,” he says.
