14/7/2017 12:43 | Much more healthy market and liquidity since the recent 'shakeout'... God liquidity going up to the production report... Bid and offered 15,000 shares...116/117... | rougepierre
14/7/2017 11:59 | Husbord, Investment Managers I am informed do look for companies that pay regular dividends. So many of them will not invest here because of that fact alone. With regard to rp's post I have changed my tune when the money I had tied up here is now giving capital appreciation and dividends elsewhere. Having said that I hope for all the investors here that the tide turns and quickly. Nobody can speed up the Astor legal problem so I am not expecting the share price to move forward until it is settled | acamas
14/7/2017 11:31 | Oh dear Acamas...sounds like a fundamental change of tune... Sirius (SXX) won't even mine a lb of polyhalite for 5 years, let alone pay a dividend, but they now have a market cap of £1.266 BILLION and it was recently £1.5 billion... They've RNSed 38 times in the last year; we've RNSed 23 times in the same period, despite being in full production, producing positive EBITDA and then profits, the Touro acquisition and the zinc prospect...why? Because we only RNS what we need to... It's all about creating and managing expectations, keeping people informed of everything and keeping this share in the front of people's minds... So let's hope Newgate get their act together... NMC is a $5 billion healthcare company with almost $1 billion revenues; IPX is an established investment manager, making steady profits for years; 3i is an established investment manager that has been around for most of my life, with a MCap of £9 billion; Swallow field is an established personal care and beauty products company with only one 'cornerstone' institutional shareholder; (we have four, including one of the biggest funds in the world...); George Soros (wouldn't want him); and Mr & Mrs Persey; above 3%...we also have Majedie... Look Acamas, you're doing a great job making money for yourself, but this is a mining company just over half a year into full production, with excellent productivity, phenomenal prospects; Analyst values more than twice the current price; and likely to declare a maiden dividend in 2018... If you can't see this, I have to ask why you're here at all...? As I said before...good luck mate and I hope you get back in here in time to make 100% or more in ATYM...? | rougepierre
14/7/2017 11:14 | Hi Acamas. I have to respectfully disagree with you on dividends - there are plenty of high growth companies that do not pay dividends where the p/e ratio reflects the potential future growth. There are other things holding us back and the Board are clearly as frustrated by the share price as are we. | husbod
14/7/2017 09:09 | rp, Why should the Market ramp a share that has outstanding legal issues and cannot pay a dividend. Until these shackles have been removed no large investor will show interest. There must be more than 1000 shares in front of this one for serious money. For example on 05/01/17 I selected four shares to follow NMC, IPX, III & SWL. I looked at them again last night to see they are up 49.9%. It is these type of shares that will attract funds not shares like ATYM until it shows promise. Anyone who buys currently could be making an unwise investment imo | acamas
14/7/2017 09:06 | Just a feeling shortarm...when we hit 116 last week I sensed we were bottoming out...then the massive trades which had the look of a seller finally finding a price and a buyer...just maybe Mr 5k was involved in that? And now there are some steady sales being taken in without the downward trail continuing... AL gave no hint of the Production levels and costsvother than to assert continuing to come under budget, so I'm looking for a blockbuster, especially including the brought forward stock from Q1...also it will enable further Analyst revisions... Surprised its not today, but it must be soon because AL has improved reporting deadlines since we ramped up... Also we may get a Touro update not long after that... But Newgate needs to develop a stream of positive RNSs, because other companies have shown that is what creates momentum... AIMHO as usual... | rougepierre
14/7/2017 08:56 | What makes you say that RP? | shortarm
14/7/2017 08:53 | Copper being held back by shenanigans with one investor shunting stock in and out of LME to hold it back...next steps... $2.69... $2.76... $2.90... $3.00.... Meanwhile looks like the market here may be ready to ramp this when the Production Report comes out...? AIMHO as usual... | rougepierre
14/7/2017 08:06 | Whats going on here? Newgate has been listed on every RNS since 25 May? So much for them improving Communication....! | rougepierre
14/7/2017 07:22 | At least we don't mine in Tanzania Acacia continues to monitor the impact of the new legislation in light of its Mineral Development Agreements with the Government of Tanzania. However, to minimise further disruptions to our operations we will, in the interim, satisfy the requirements imposed as regards the increased royalty rate applicable to metallic minerals such as gold, copper and silver of 6% (increased from 4%) in addition to the recently imposed 1% clearing fee on exports. | waterloo01
13/7/2017 22:16 | Chelsea101, They are listed as contacts on todays RNS re AGM so it is fact. I knew I had read the name James Ash earlier in tthe day | acamas
13/7/2017 22:07 | Posted by mayo101 on iii hxxp://www.gorkana.c July 11, 2017/in Industry News /by Gorkana News Editor Atalaya Mining, a European mining and development company, has instructed Newgate Communications to provide financial and investor communications. Atalaya’s major asset is the Riotinto copper mine in Huelva province, Spain. The brief includes regular financial communications as well as enhancing the UK Capital Markets profile of Atalaya, which is listed on London’s AIM market as well as Canada’s TSX. Charlie Chichester, senior partner at Newgate, is leading the team, assisted by consultants James Ash and James Browne. Atalaya reached commercial production at Riotinto in February 2016 and is looking to expand capacity at the mine. It has also exercised an option on Proyecto Touro in the northwest of Spain and is focusing on a pre-feasibility study and the permitting process. | chelsea101
13/7/2017 17:33 | Nothing is simple for ATYM. That is a shame because they deserve that money now. As our Bristolian Lady said "Not another Legal Action........." | acamas
13/7/2017 15:40 | If that's the case sirmoori then the Board has my 100% sympathy. | husbod
13/7/2017 15:10 | Re: the grant, the EU is saying that the ATYM submission is incomplete.ATYM is very clear it is complete. ATYM is now taking legal action to make the EU pay. | sirmoori
13/7/2017 14:32 | Some loser with 226 shares voted against everything...Well, except Harry.... | shortarm
13/7/2017 13:07 | message from the shareholders. WE CANNOT SPEND THANKS. THANKS FOR NOTHING. | reba
13/7/2017 12:40 | Husbord, I'm thinking it best to pay off Astor and then get down to seriously running the business. We will hit problems and delays over both sides petitioning the court case. Uncertainty of the outcome is going to be a weight on their shoulders. | acamas
13/7/2017 12:13 | Acamas - precisely the point I was making earlier but in a slightly more roundabout way. | husbod
13/7/2017 11:51 | No mention of that elusive EU Grant - they are probably too busy organising their end of session junket (700 bottles of wine etc at the taxpayers' expense). I have made a vow - assuming I am still a shareholder (ie I am still alive) I am going to attend next years AGM. Presumably no-one has raised the grant point today??? | husbod
13/7/2017 11:13 | Also the company will pay of its long standing (inherited) social security debt this quarter. That will add ~€1m profit per quarter going forward. SBT | superbobtaylor
13/7/2017 11:04 | Expansion if they come across something of interest, how will they fund its acquisition? | acamas
13/7/2017 10:41 | We very definitely do not want Astor as a significant shareholder...can you imagine any of the Big 4 agreeing to this? No..I thought not.... | rougepierre |
