15/3/2023 12:51 | Bracke, hope you are well. re post 61856 - i read the FED were looking at a 50 basis points rise, that was last week. looks like the down is opening down 600 today .. closed my LLOY short to early - grrrr | ![]() rescuer
15/3/2023 11:47 | The share price is testing the 38.2% Fib again. There is a gap just under the Fib at 5052 which if filled may be sufficient to stop the drop. If not then it will be seen that the 50% Fib at 4876 is next support. AHT DAILY | ![]() bracke
13/3/2023 18:39 | Thanks for the list disc0 From ongoing events it appears some never expected interest rates to rise which is at best negligent. Also interesting that companies had large amounts of money over the 'insured' maximum invested with SVB. Goldman Sachs - How could such a fine upstanding company have got the UK inflation rate so wrong. In the meantime AHT managed to bring the share price to a halt at 5200. Talk now is that the FED will hold back on further rate increases to ease the problems that the low rates are causing. Which of course then brings up the subject of what about inflation control...ah yes well..... | ![]() bracke
13/3/2023 18:00 | Thanks discO. No exposure but had to check. Cheers | ![]() 2flatpack
13/3/2023 17:50 | Link below for those interested (potential shorts or those holding) of UK listings exposed to SVB and those that have informed the market that they have zero exposure.Https://www | ![]() disc0dave45
13/3/2023 17:17 | Some positive news - Goldman Sachs reckon UK inflation will hit the BoE target of 2% by the end of this year.......providing Hunt extends the £2500 household energy cap.Last year (Oct) GS were predicting 22% UK inflation and a more significant recession....experts! pfft. | ![]() disc0dave45
13/3/2023 16:53 | Good day Mr bThanks as ever for the pretty chart :)The usual panic (and manipulation cough cough) providing opportunities.Time to chase some squirrels again :) | ![]() disc0dave45
13/3/2023 11:36 | Good day disco "As for the UK SVB I doubt that Hunt will move as quick!." ==================== Oh ye of little faith! Deal done. AHT 1 The gap at 5360 filled. 2 Has broken below the 23.6% Fib. 3 Has broken down below the lower trend line of the ascending wedge. 4 RSI has broken down through the ascending trend line. Provided the US market doesn't 'melt' firm support at the 38.2% Fib (5144) is likely. AHT DAILY | ![]() bracke

12/3/2023 23:46 | Mr bAgree, fast and effective action was needed and it looks like the US regulators as well as the FED have done just that. As for the UK SVB I doubt that Hunt will move as quick!. | ![]() disc0dave45

10/3/2023 19:29 | Good evening Mr bJust read that the US regulators have taken over the SVB.There are a few UK listed stocks that had loan facilities with SVB, fortunately I don't hold any.Have a good one. | ![]() disc0dave45

10/3/2023 12:43 | The chart shows the share price at a 'decision level' 1 share price is at the 23.6% Fib. 2 share price has dropped to the upper line of the ascending wedge (blue). 3 There is an unfilled gap at 5360. Nearly filled on 22nd Feb when it dropped to 5370. 4 share price remains in the main (ascending) channel. 5 The RSI is at the lower trendline. 6 There are two new gaps to the upside at 5830 and 5736. 07/3/2023 22:22 | It's behind a paywall but some may have FT access. Construction equipment rental group Ashtead has pledged to keep its stock market listing in London even as its booming US business prompted the FTSE 100 company to lift its full-year profit forecast. | ![]() dcarn
07/3/2023 15:46 | Good day disc0 Mr Powell is in hawkish mode today. Apart from immediate market reaction the main question is whether the market will 'shake it off' after a day or two as it has done previously, or will 'take it to heart'? Those who follow the US Market and use charts will be watching the S&P 500 for a break and hold below the low on the 2nd March i.e. 3928. Then continuing into the mid 3800's. On a purely personal view I do ponder if the only data the market will truly react to is company earnings. | ![]() bracke |
