23/9/2022 12:20 | Good day disc0 An excellent post. I always like to throw in an 'all things being equal' because they never are. Time for an updated chart which shows the following: 1 The gap at 3938 has been filled. 2 The rise from the June low to the August high has retraced to the fib at 61.8%. 3 There is the possibility of support at approx 3713. 4 The next gap to the down side is at 2889 from 02 November 2020. Consulting the cat entrails suggests that barring the demise of Mr Putin or something equally positive the market is likely heading lower and the share price testing the June low. Putting the current share price price action into perspective the share price immediately prior to the Pandemic was 2800. There then followed interest rates near to zero and the FED pumping Billion of $ into the markets. All of the above is based on all things being equal. AHT DAILY | bracke
22/9/2022 19:34 | Mr b"He needs to post a few charts with all sorts of lines in different colours and formats."Yep, I for one love a pretty chart, if I can see similarities with certain constellations, or cartoon characters, or animals etc., in all those lines and fibo thingy's, then in my book he will have cracked it.....but not as a TA guru necessarily, as the commentary also has to be sound and include numerous "ifs" "buts" and "maybe's" as well :) | disc0dave45
22/9/2022 18:47 | disc0 The BoE have stated their target is 2% inflation odds on they will undershoot or overshoot which is to be expected. If the 'pain' becomes too much an undershoot is more likely i.e. 2.5% or 3.00%. I did read that the possibility of the government taking back control of the interest rate is a consideration. "Think trt is trying desperately to be the AHT TA guru……NO ==================== In his dreams. He doesn't get anywhere near the first rung of the Guru ladder. He needs to post a few charts with all sorts of lines in different colours and formats. | bracke
22/9/2022 18:05 | palPmsl, a broken clock and all that. Think trt is trying desperately to be the AHT TA guru......NOT A FING CHANCE :) | disc0dave45
22/9/2022 18:03 | MrbThat's my point. But the point is there's no point pointing out "forecasts", pick a number, the BoE are never right.....are they!.Did I miss the profit warning here or what? | disc0dave45
22/9/2022 17:37 | Phew...thought I had lost my powers of prediction there. Faith in my ability has been restored. Thanks trt. | palwing32
22/9/2022 17:20 | palwings, close, only 2 days out there Nostrodamus.... :-) | casket1
22/9/2022 16:42 | disc0 I take no pleasure in pointing out the error of your information.... maybe just a little. You will see in the link below that annual inflation has been below 2% on a number of occasions. I do hope you are not going to suggest the data is incorrect! | bracke
22/9/2022 16:30 | Could see this drop below £35 now. | trt
22/9/2022 15:42 | Good day MrbIts been 2% target for 19 years now. Has it been 2% during all of that period, nope :)0.5% for another 6 months job done (already raised it 2.25%?), job done. | disc0dave45
22/9/2022 14:43 | Good day disc0 Inflation is expected to reach 13% (see link). 13%-6% = 7%. Inflation target is 2% therefore a reduction of 5% required. Perhaps 0.5% should have been 0.75%. | bracke
22/9/2022 13:21 | Given the cost of energy was contributing about 6% to the BoE inflation forecast and Truss has now kindly capped it at a lower cost, then IMO even the +0.5% was possibly too much now?, beyond my pay grade. | disc0dave45
21/9/2022 13:25 | Good day disc0 I was simply commenting on the volume shown on the 3 Month chart above. | bracke
21/9/2022 10:11 | £ dropping below $1.14 every little helps | fenners66
20/9/2022 17:41 | Mr bWas it ASHTY volume of 2.5m yesterday? | disc0dave45
20/9/2022 16:49 | I was referring to AHT. It can be traded in US and other places on Futures market. There are also 'Dark Pool' markets. | bracke
20/9/2022 16:19 | Oh, sorry thought you were referring specifically to AHT, particularly as you mentioned Fridays volume (which was 2.5m) and price action here :) | disc0dave45
20/9/2022 16:08 | UK Cash was but other countries were open. Plus other UK options other than the London Stock Exchange. | bracke
20/9/2022 15:46 | Mr bMarket closed yesterday! | disc0dave45
20/9/2022 15:38 | disc0 Yesterdays volume of 2.5 million does not equate with the price range. I suspect a lot of the volume occurred after normal trading hours and is reflected in todays share price | bracke
20/9/2022 15:14 | Good day Mr b"it is difficult to reconcile the price target and the price action?"Yep, no manipulation obviously :) | disc0dave45
20/9/2022 11:41 | Good day disc0 "HSBC cuts Ashtead Group price target to 5,360 (6,020) pence - 'buy'" ==================== Now I may be a little slow on the uptake at times but given the share price has dropped to 4000 today/yesterday it is difficult to reconcile the price target and the price action? | bracke
20/9/2022 10:46 | HSBC cuts Ashtead Group price target to 5,360 (6,020) pence - 'buy' | disc0dave45
20/9/2022 10:24 | I think I can see £30 .... if I open up my wallet, disturb the moths and blow away the cobwebs... | fenners66
20/9/2022 09:32 | Yep, something along the lines of " I can see £35 at this rate" | disc0dave45 |
